Shane's position on the rampart allows him to observe the group of people waiting for them.
Furthermore, A.I. Cloud could also detect the location of the hidden ones, and this was extremely helpful, considering how Shane couldn't even find them.
It appears that they had some sort of magical item that was helping them hide their presence.
Then, after Shane confirmed that these people had no good intentions from their conversation with Lysandra, he knew he had to act quickly and decisively.
In an instant, Shane took out his Sentinel Mk-IV Automated Turret. It only had to position and start itself in two seconds before it found the 'enemies' with Cloud's assistance. Now, it was just waiting for Shane's orders.
"Once you're clear, go ahead and eliminate those enemies who were hiding first." Shane muttered as he gave Cloud permission to activate the Sentinel Mk-IV Automated Turret.
The Turret hummed to life, its sensors locking onto the targets below.
As the Turret began to move, Lysandra heard it and realized that this problem would be resolved soon.
"You picked the wrong people to mess with," She called out, her voice carrying a note of warning.
The armed men looked up, their expressions shifting from confidence to fear.
"Wait, we can talk about this!" one of them shouted, but it was too late.
The Sentinel Mk-IV Automated Turret found its targets and opened fire.
[ You have eliminated a Human Survivor. ]
Bullets sprayed towards the ambushers, their cries of panic and pain filling the air. The Turret's precision was unmatched, and the threat was neutralized within moments!
They tried using various movement skills to hide or used shields to block the attack, but the Turret's energy bullet was simply too fierce! Without having Master-Grade clothing or armor, the bullets could easily pass through their bodies!
Shane then confirmed that all he eliminated were human survivors like them.

'Mhmm… This Turret is really too strong. I can even make another one with the machine gun I just looted. Though I will use up some of my reputation points, it's still a good deal.' Shane mused as he realized that a new era or new phase of the Apocalypse was starting to unveil.
He couldn't help but imagine that sooner or later, most of the shelters would soon have automated guns that would protect their territory.
Lysandra then lowered her barrier to save the Power Core of the item. Then, her eyes scanned the fallen attackers.
"Do you think they're from the Nightfall Nexus," she asked calmly.
Shane had already taken the Turret back to his inventory and descended from the rampart.
"We'll see… But the possibility is high..." Shane said as he didn't dismiss the fact that these guys could also be some opportunists from other shelters looking to take advantage of the chaos.
Anyway, Shane proceeded to loot them all.
Although he wasn't looking forward to their Skills and Talents because of how they were killed so easily, it was still better not to waste whatever item he could get from them.
"Help me take their usable weapons. I'll be the one looting their bodies though…" Shane said as he considered whether he should use the Lootkeeper's Timepiece already.
"Alright…" Lysandra replied as she proceeded to take the swords, daggers, and revolvers of these people. As for their clothes and accessories, they were all damaged by the Energy Bullet from the Turret so they weren't that useful anymore.
After stripping them of their weapons, Shane proceeded to loot them.

"Yes…" Shane replied as he started to loot the corpses using the Apocalypse System.

"Wow…" Shane paused for a moment as he got Fast Regeneration Skill!
With this skill, minor injuries would no longer be a concern for him. This was incredible! His decision to loot them was right!
Shane then continued looting the 11 other people, and most of them had given him skills he already learned. All of them were also carrying a Concealment Ring on them.
Nonetheless, he still obtained two more new skills.
They were Night Vigor and Concealment Skills!
The Night Vigor seemed quite dangerous since it might affect Lysandra every night, but the most important thing was the last skill.
Apparently, the last person he looted seemed to be the source of the Concealment Ring that they were using in order to hide their presence from his detections!
Furthermore, he realized why they all had concealment rings!
