After leaving the village, Zhang Nu and the others continued on their journey. As they walked, a group suddenly appeared ahead of them. The moment Zhang Nu laid eyes on the group, he knew—they were enemies. But oddly enough, the group was made up mostly of women, all of them striking and imposing in their bearing, completely different from Ling Xi’s type.
Liu Hai stared blankly at the sight. He’d grown used to Ling Xi’s gentle demeanor and now found himself powerless against these strong, valiant women.
Seeing their formation, Liu Hai couldn’t help but suggest, “Zhang Nu, why don’t we travel with them? Look, they’re heading the same direction.”
Zhang Nu didn’t need to guess what Liu Hai was thinking. His expression alone was enough to betray his intentions.

Liu Hai shivered involuntarily after hearing Zhang Nu’s warning. Come to think of it, Zhang Nu did have a point. It probably wasn’t a good idea to provoke these people. “You’re right, Zhang Nu. Let’s not mess with them. No matter what they say, we won’t bring them along.”
Zhang Nu nodded. The group continued walking forward.
But just as they pressed on, something unexpected happened—the group of beautiful women turned and began heading straight toward them.
Seeing Zhang Nu’s team, the women smiled faintly. In their eyes, this group was already in the bag.
“If we kill them, do you think our cultivation levels will rise?” one of them asked casually. “They’re just a bunch of men. Shouldn’t take much effort.”

“I can’t believe they didn’t fall for our looks.”
“Are there really men in this world who don’t care about a woman’s appearance?”
“Impossible. All men are lecherous. They’re just playing hard to get to draw our attention, ” the leader shook her head. “Either way, they’re our target. Doesn’t matter who makes the first move.”
The others nodded once again, convinced by her reasoning.
Soon, the group of women approached Zhang Nu’s team. Seeing this, Zhang Nu and the others grew immediately wary.
One of the women called out sweetly, “You all look like you’re headed the same way. Why not join our groups? It’d be safer to travel together. It’s a bit risky for so many girls to go alone.”
Zhang Nu’s mouth twitched at the words. He didn’t see what was so unsafe about them traveling together.
“That won’t be necessary,” he replied flatly. “We already have enough people in our group.”
“Besides, none of us are particularly strong cultivators. Even if we traveled together, we couldn’t guarantee your safety.”
The woman’s gaze turned venomous for a brief second— but then it was gone, replaced by a sweet smile as though nothing had happened.
