With the death of Lionel and his party, Thoren was already halfway to leveling up, but that was not what excited him.
Floating before Lionel’s skeleton was the Illusory Soul Lantern of Eternal Crypt.

He had been wondering how he would use the Soul Fire, but now he did not have to worry.
Every detail poured into his mind. Apart from the Soul Lantern being a bane to dark entities, it could harvest souls and store them while also allowing him to bestow any of his summons.
The only limitation was that the undead summons must be above Level 5, and Lionel had just served himself on the platter of gold.

Without hesitation, he added Soul Fire to his trait.
Instantly, a burning yellowish flame appeared in Lionel’s skeleton skull. His lifeless hollow eyes gained a semblance of intelligence.

Additionally, Thoren discovered that he could see through the skeleton’s eyes as if he were standing in its place.

As long as he had enough Level 5 skeletons, he could control them with ease and turn them into a full fledged army.
"From now on, you will become my ace skeleton," he mused. "I think I’ll rename you Ace Number 1."
With that thought, he renamed it.

Seeing the new name, he nodded with satisfaction and asked the skeletons to pick their weapons.
For beast skeletons, he withdrew them into his undead space, leaving the human skeletons.
Ace Number 1 held its broad sword and stood imposing before him.
"Now, we can continue the hunt," he muttered and picked one of the tunnels.
Previously, he had been afraid of Federation law, but now he did not care. His only thought was to grow stronger as quickly as possible.
Now that he was being targeted by the Slave Trade Guild, he must never give them a chance to gather their strength.
Howl!
After walking for a few minutes, he heard a loud howl rushing toward him.

Filled with anticipation, he commanded the five human skeletons to attack the Shadow Cave Bear while Ace Number 1 sneaked behind for an attack.

Ace Number 1 did not disappoint him. Using the Berserker Charge, its sword cut through the Cave Bear in one swift motion.
Dead!
The battle barely lasted five seconds, and it was over. Thoren could not hide his smile.

Thoren did not care about the notification as he pushed deeper into the tunnel. With the power of his new skeleton, he could wait to try them.
As he walked deeper into the tunnel, he heard the sound of hurried footsteps, but he did not halt his pace.
Just then, three people covered in blood appeared before him. When they saw the six skeletons, their eyes widened in disbelief.
"A Necromancer?!" one exclaimed.
"Six Skeletons!" another muttered in deep shock.
Thoren gave them only a single glance before continuing deeper into the tunnel as if they meant nothing.
"When did such a powerful Necromancer appear?" one of them asked.
The three looked at each other and shook their heads as they made their way to the surface.
Necromancers were outcasts in all occupations. Although they were weak at the beginning, those who managed to grow stronger posed a significant threat.
And now, one had appeared with six skeletons.
Thoren, however, did not care about them or what would happen later. His goal was simple: become stronger.
Walking deeper into the tunnel, he found that the tunnel was expanding, growing larger than before. He could feel the fresh stain of blood in the air.
Instead of getting scared, his heart pounded with excitement.
Howl!
A deep, thunderous howl echoed from the distance. Unlike the previous one, this was intimidating, filled with authority.
Appearing before Thoren was a massive beast, over five meters in height, with an imposing presence.

Looking at the stats, Thoren inhaled deeply, his gaze burning with fighting spirit.
This would be the first elite beast he would fight, and he could not wait to begin.
"Charge!" he commanded.
Ace Number 1 stood behind while the five Level 4 skeletons attacked.
While Ace Number 1 waited for the opportunity to attack, he summoned twenty Level 3 and Level 4 skeletons.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The Elite Shadow Cave Bear swung its claw, sending the weaker skeletons flying.
Their bones shattered to pieces. Those that could rise to their feet rushed toward the beast.
Fearless and relentless.
Ahhh! Ahhh!
Although the elite beast was powerful, under the onslaught of fearless skeletons, it began to sustain injuries, and its ferocity faltered gradually.
Thoren stood behind, watching his skeletons crumble to dust, but he did not care.
Suddenly, the corner of his lips curled into a knowing smile.
While the Elite Shadow Cave Bear was enraged, trying to kill all the skeletons, Ace Number 1 appeared from the side and swung its broad sword.
Bang!
A deep gash appeared on the bear’s chest, blood gushing like a broken dam. The beast howled in pain, retreating, fear appearing on its face.
But Ace Number 1 kept striking.
Slash after slash.
Thud!
The beast collapsed to the ground with a deep sword plunged deep into its chest.
