It was the first thing Jemil noticed when his foot touched the edge of Moonmirror Lake.

"Alright," he muttered. "Third mythical beast wife lives here. No pressure."
Behind him stood Flare, arms crossed, wing-tips flickering with irritation. Yura sat nearby on a floating stone, tails drifting lazily behind her, watching with a smirk.
"You sure you can handle her?" Flare asked.
"Barely survived me."
"He'll be fine," Yura purred. "Naia's a sweetheart. Just... the drowning type."
Jemil stepped closer.
The surface shimmered.
No splash. No ripple.
He opened his eyes to darkness. Liquid. Cold.
He couldn't breathe. Couldn't move.
And then—she appeared.
A glowing silhouette gliding through the water like a goddess. Long sapphire hair flowed around her. Her eyes were pale and endless. Her barely-there waterveil clung to a body that could end empires.
She touched his face.
Suddenly—he could breathe.
"You heard my call, Summoner," a voice whispered in his mind.
"Naia," Jemil thought. "Leviathan... you're Naia."
"You carry the flame. The moonfire. And now... the sea."
She pulled back, hand on his chest.
The lake around them trembled.

Then dragged him deeper into the water.

Jemil hit the ground like a wet towel and groaned.
Stepping onto the surface of the lake like a queen.
"That one is mine now," she said coolly. "Do not interfere."
"We were here first!" Flare snapped.
"Technically, he bonded me mid-chokehold," Yura chimed.
"Then you can wait your turn."
A wave surged behind Naia.
Flare drew fire. Yura summoned tails.
"CAN'T WE ALL JUST SHARE?!"
Then Naia tilted her head.
Flare and Yura looked at each other. Then at her.
"Fine. But only if he sleeps between us," Flare muttered.
"Agreed," Yura said. "I want one thigh minimum."
"You get a tail spot," Naia offered.
Jemil lay half-conscious on the sand, covered in a towel and emotional damage.
