God-Tier Extraction Talent: Reincarnated in a Game-like World! Chapter 109

FWISh! Swoosh!

After stepping through the gate, Gabriel appeared in a vast rocky landscape where the air was stiff and the temperature hot.

Instantly, a series of notifications flashed across his retina.

[Ding! You have entered the Secret Area – Orc World]

[Difficulty: Intermediate (LV10–50)]

[Objective: Help Gorath, the Exiled Orc Lord, reclaim his throne by defeating the three usurper champions who have seized the orc clans.]

[Rewards: +3 Level Ups]

---

’+3 level up, hmm not bad.’

Considering that he would also get experience points from each kill, Gabriel felt the reward was good enough.

Besides, this was just a mid-tier secret area. More difficult areas offered even more bountiful rewards...

Secret Areas were ranked: Easy, Intermediate, Hard, Very Hard, and Extreme.

Still, it was pretty amazing that even the least difficult Secret Area rewarded three level-ups.

Gabriel recalled that there were specific player guilds whose main objective was to hunt for Secret Area tokens because of their high rewards.

’When I’m free, maybe I’ll go token hunting as well,’ he thought, remembering that one would be spotted in the near future.

Dismissing those thoughts, he swept his gaze around the area.

Far and wide, all he could see was rocky wasteland. There was no breeze, the air was too warm, and cracks with glowing lava could be seen on the ground.

In his past life, Gabriel had explored a few of these interactive secret trials, so he knew how to proceed.

’First things first, I need to find this Gorath and convince him.’ He felt this would be the hardest part.

What’s worse: the entities in these trials acted no different from real humans.

Since Gorath was exiled and spawned in the wilderness, that meant the exile lord was somewhere close by.

Gabriel chose a random direction and started walking, avoiding the lava. But even after several minutes, he didn’t find anyone.

Sweat glistened on his forehead.

Fortunately for him, a few minutes later, he came across a group of orcs attacking another one.

Their names were displayed above their heads.

The group of orcs seemed to be beating up another orc who had "Gorath" displayed above his head.

"Found you." Gabriel smirked and charged toward the orcs.

Sensing his presence, the orcs quickly turned around, a look of shock on their faces.

"A human!"

"What’s a disgusting human doing here?!"

The leader of the orcs frowned and barked at his underlings, "Stop the human!"

Immediately, two agile orcs charged forward, blunt swords raised high.

"Dark Flame Orb!"

BOOM!

-100

[You have defeated Level 10 Orc ×2]

[Ding! You have received +10 EP]

’Damn human!’ the orc leader seethed with rage and signaled the remaining three orcs to attack as well.

Gorath, who was bloodied, looked up and saw the human charging forward with blinding speed.

’This is my chance!’ Gorath clenched his fist, ready to escape.

’Maybe I gave these orcs too much credit.’ Gabriel couldn’t tell if this was bravery or stupidity.

Just like before, he fired Dark Flame Orb twice in quick succession, sending those orcs to the afterlife.

Finally, the orc leader—wielding a sword twice its size—roared angrily and swung his blade.

A thin line of lava extended from the weapon.

"Grizzlenaught!"

Swoosh!

The red Grizzlenaught bear appeared right in front of its master and swiped a claw, releasing a spectral fang that tore through the orc’s attack and slammed into its chest.

The orc leader stumbled back as a puddle of blood formed at his feet.

"Deal with him," Gabriel ordered as he stepped past the orc and stopped in front of Gorath.

He extended a hand.

Gorath, who was badly hurt and bloody, stared at the offered hand with some hesitation.

"Who are you, human?" he asked.

"My name is Gabriel Reyes," Gabriel introduced himself. Then his expression shifted slightly as he said the cringiest thing ever:

"Due to your relentless prayers, the great Orc Goddess has sent me here to help reclaim what you have lost."

When Gorath heard this, he teared up.

Gabriel’s words weren’t random. He knew the orcs were a very religious species, which was why he decided to say it—even though it made his face burn with second-hand embarrassment.

In truth, Gorath had been praying to the Orc Goddess to give him strength to reclaim his throne, and just when he was about to give up... help finally arrived.

The orc finally accepted Gabriel’s hand and slowly pulled himself up.

"Thank you for helping me, Great Hero," Gorath said, bowing his head slightly.

"Not a problem," Gabriel replied. "Also, don’t call me ’Great Hero.’ You can call me Sir Broken."

"Oh... okay," the orc nodded.

Seeing that Gorath could barely walk, Gabriel called out his second summon.

"Jelly."

The soccer-ball-sized Life Slime appeared in Gabriel’s palm. He stroked its bubbly body. "Heal him."

The slime nodded and spat a fist-sized goo that landed on the orc’s face.

Gorath was confused at first, but then he began to feel rejuvenated. All the minor wounds he had sustained healed, and his health returned to 100%.

"Thank you, oh grea—"

Gabriel glared at him, and the orc quickly coughed and bowed. "Thank you, Sir Broken."

"Better." Gabriel nodded.

Afterward, he proceeded to ask—

"Who were those orcs?"

A flash of anger passed through the orc’s face. "Those were Krag’s hoodlums. They’ve been trying to kill me for the past two months."

"Is he one of your usurpers?" Gabriel asked.

"Yes," Gorath nodded. "We’re currently in his territory."

"Good." Gabriel smirked. "I need you to lead me to his base."

---

Meanwhile, back in Monkey Paradise dungeon, the henchmen had returned from their search, bringing with them all the adventurers they could find in the dungeon.

Alice, Sophie, and Cassie frowned. After scanning the gathered faces, they realized one person was missing.

...Gabriel.
