Golden Dragon: Six Thousand Years of Empire Chapter 499

He didn’t even have this kind of fatherly love; as a dignified Holy Dragon, he merely commanded a few thousand Great Fairies and over a hundred Dragon Fairies at his service.

"Granduncle, your child’s soul essence is too high, and besides, he already knows we don’t dare truly harm him.

So every time there’s a struggle, my mages don’t dare confront him directly; they merely tussle for a bit and then back off."

Wayne had to explain the reason. It wasn’t as if he was intentionally leading this Dragon Uncle down the path of the Undead Evil Path; it’s just that this Dragon Uncle was simply too adept at exploring and exploiting the rules.

Terramus, upon realizing that he wouldn’t suffer fatal harm in this land full of undead, even if he stepped out of the room and, at most, received a beating, grew increasingly bold and reckless, leading to the current situation.

The pure-blooded Golden Dragon, inheriting the ancestral bloodline, unexpectedly began to study Undead Magic and even formed an Undead Army with considerable average strength to defend against small-scale undead invasions and make time for spell research.

It must be said, if we put race aside, this Dragon Uncle’s talent, or perhaps his way of thinking, is truly unique.

"Where did he get his hands on those books of the Undead Series of spells?"

Noah asked a question that went straight to the heart of the matter. A spell, even if just a zero-level trick, might simply amuse children and naïve girls, but it is still one of the wise crystallizations of race and civilization.

Noah didn’t believe his child could create, from nothing, spells that could manipulate and fight for control of the undead.

If Terramus possessed such qualifications, Legendary Mage Selena wouldn’t stand a chance before him. Since he didn’t invent it himself, someone must have taught him.

"He found it himself. Many hidden corners of the Great Graveyard have Undead Series heritages. I don’t know exactly how many, so I couldn’t stop it. What’s crucial is, I didn’t anticipate he would be interested in Undead Magic."

Wayne immediately distanced himself from the matter. He didn’t want to be blamed for instructing a noble Golden Dragon in Death Magic; to him, this was an unexpected calamity.

Noah nodded slightly.

"Granduncle, given what has happened, do you think you should take him back?"

Wayne requested without beating around the bush. He still respected this granduncle, but he really didn’t enjoy the feeling of having another ancestor looming over him.

Though he didn’t have to serve directly, knowing such a being was in his domain — one he couldn’t provoke, touch, or offend — yet had to painstakingly take care of, this Demon King felt a bit sorrowful.

"Why take him back? Isn’t he doing well here?"

Noah asked perplexedly.

"But if he masters more Death Magic, then ultimately..."

"Didn’t you also become the Undying King? Yet you didn’t fall into becoming an undead, right? My child is merely learning some Death Magic; broadening knowledge is a good thing.

Moreover, he is learning these spells as an adaptation to the environment; there’s nothing wrong with that. If he clung to the so-called honor of racial bloodline and refused to adapt, then I would truly be disappointed.

Now, knowing to discard these meaningless falsehoods and integrate into the environment makes me very pleased, and I think you’re doing well.

However, it’s not enough. You need to place more pressure on him. Since he already has his own Undead Army, dispatch your own subordinates to attack him.

Ensure that with each attack, his enslaved undead are all completely wiped out, leaving only him. I am very eager to see what potential he can unleash under such pressure!"

Perhaps Terramus’s obsession with magic hasn’t been relieved, but each spell he now learns is undoubtedly aimed at securing his own survival space, with practicality as the priority.

"Since it’s your request, I will naturally fulfill it all!"

Wayne’s expression remained unchanged, but inside, he felt greatly disappointed. It seemed the chance to send this ancestor away had fallen through; this granduncle was determined to use this place as a training ground for his offspring.

"My demands aren’t high; as long as he can walk out of here alive, that’s enough."

Noah chuckled, but the Demon King ruling the Great Graveyard remained expressionless. The seemingly simple demand was full of hidden intricacies.

Wayne hadn’t forgotten the requirement proposed the last time this granduncle contacted him; participating personally, forging the Dragon Uncle’s Skill’s Extreme Intent and letting him leave the Great Graveyard. Would he now also have to hone Magic’s Extreme Intent here? It seemed never-ending.

Unfortunately, the Undying King, who ruled over billions of undead, had no ground to refuse. Though this demand seemed excessive, it wasn’t impossible.

"Skill and Magic’s Extreme Intent, Granduncle, you truly have high hopes for your offspring!"

After finishing the exchange with the Holy Dragon Granduncle, the Demon King sat on the bone throne, gently tapping one side of the armrest, atop which was a cracked skull, with dim, deep eyes flashing red light,

"Since you don’t mind your child learning Undead Magic, then I shall lend your offspring a helping hand!"

The Demon King, having fully mastered the Great Graveyard, flipped his hand, revealing a book over half a person’s height, with a cover that gleamed with a dim metallic luster.

On the heavy book’s cover were engraved seven distinct forms of Death Gods, with the image of a Death God clad in a gray robe and holding a scythe being just one among them, even placed at the far end.

Around these seven Death Gods were countless peculiar and varied undead, differing greatly in appearance, some being unknown yet terrifying species, even some that seemed unfamiliar to Wayne, the Undying King.

The Undead Black Scripture

One of the treasures from the first Immortal King’s treasury, and the one he regarded most highly. Yet, following the fall of the Immortal King, most of these treasures became Wayne’s.

As a living being, who never considered transforming into an undead, Wayne paid little mind to the Undead Black Scripture that the Immortal King valued.

Even if it contained much forbidden knowledge capable of driving high-rank undead mad, like how to advance, break the soul’s shackles, revert from death to life, or reverse resurrection, the most crucial knowledge within the Black Scripture was the path it contained to becoming an immortal divine being and its depiction of the [Death] domain.

Unfortunately, even knowledge capable of driving Demigod Witch Demons mad was worthless in Wayne’s eyes. Now, he even planned to toss this scripture—which, in some respects, was valued higher than a Divine Artifact—to a junior.

He realized that if he didn’t bleed a little, there was no way he’d be able to get rid of this Dragon Uncle, as the granduncle had intentionally arranged for his offspring to come here, not on a whim or a burst of inspiration, but with premeditated planning.

Thus, after Noah had seen it, the Undead Great Mage Terramus felt the survival difficulty suddenly increase more than tenfold. In the end, after exerting all his strength to command his Undead Army against a ceaseless Undead Tide, and fighting until the last member fell, he too, finally fell under the siege of a group of Dark Knights.

"I also want to form a Black Knight Order!"

Buried under the broken bones and ashes, his body nearly shattered and covered in scars, the Golden Dragon recalled the might of the charging undead knights and secretly resolved.

With his fall, the swarm of undead retreated like a tide. Exhausted, Terramus suddenly sensed a violent rip of pain from the tip of his tail, and simultaneously, a black light merged into his body...
