After they left the ward, Tang Zui was still holding Gu Mian’s small hand tightly and refusing to let go. He was heading towards the elevator with Gu Mian behind him.

“Okay,” she replied. There were still some leftovers from the dumplings she had wrapped earlier. She just needed to cook them once they got home and the dumplings would be ready to serve.
The car drove back to the apartment and stopped outside the building. The two of them got out of the vehicle and walked towards the entrance. Gu Mian was walking behind Tang Zui.
A car suddenly turned on its headlights, and the two of them stopped in their tracks. Gu Mian immediately raised a hand to shield her eyes. Tang Zui fixed his gaze on the car and saw Tang Ming’s face.
Once Gu Mian’s eyes recovered from the momentary discomfort due to the brightness, she spotted Tang Ming too. She suddenly grew anxious.
Tang Ming opened the car door and got out of the vehicle. He looked at Gu Mian and said, “Mian Mian, I want to talk to you.”

Gu Mian looked at Tang Ming’s pale face and furrowed her eyebrows. As it seemed, his illness was quite serious this time.
“I don’t believe in what you said. You said those things just because of him, didn’t you? Tang Zui, Mian Mian doesn’t love you at all. She will never love you! Let us be together! If you’re willing to give Mian Mian back to me, I can leave the Tang family!” Tang Ming suddenly looked at Tang Zui and pleaded with him.
