Su Qianxun saw Gu Mian on the cruise. Tang Zui and Si Mancheng were there as well. They were leaning against the deck rails and looking down at Su Qianxun and Long Sijue.
Su Qianxun immediately waved at Gu Mian. Thrilled, she wanted to run onto the cruise to talk to her friend, but Long Sijue grabbed her. The young woman turned around and met the man’s gaze. There was a sullen look in his eyes.
“Tonight, you’re mine!” Long Sijue pulled her into his arms with force.
Hearing what he said, Su Qianxun blushed slightly. Long Sijue bent down, lifted her in his arms and walked towards the cruise.
To celebrate New Year’s eve, Gu Mian put on a red, loose-fitting sweater and a long white skirt tonight. The outfit made her look frail. There was a faint smile on her clean, innocent face.
Tang Zui’s gaze would subconsciously shift to her direction. No matter where he was, wherever she was going, he was not able to take his eyes off her.
He genuinely thought that he might be possessed by a ghost. Even though he hated her so much, she still managed to captivate him, making it impossible for him to avert his eyes.
Tang Zui stared at Gu Mian’s wrists. They were so skinny, like those of a teenage girl. The sight of them made his heart ache for no reason.
‘Can’t she treat herself better, eat more and gain some weight? She’s not a child anymore!’
As Tang Zui thought of that, he felt a little frustrated. He turned and walked over to the table. He picked up a glass of wine and finished it at once.
Gu Mian’s phone started ringing. Seeing that the phone call was from home, she was slightly troubled. But she could not reject the call. All she could do was to bite the bullet and answer it.
“Hello, mom…,” Gu Mian knew that they were worried about Gu Ling.
“Mian Mian, didn’t you say Tang Zui will save your older brother? Why isn’t he back yet? He’s not home this new year’s eve. It makes me very upset.” As she spoke, Mrs. Gu started crying.
“Mom, you don’t have to worry about his safety… he’s absolutely fine and he’ll probably be able to go home tomorrow.” Gu Mian subsciously looked towards Tang Zui. He said he wanted to teach her older brother a lesson, but she did not know how he was going to do that.
“But today is New Year’s eve. Mian Mian, talk to Tang Zui. See if he will allow your older brother to come home today. Let him spend New Year’s eve with us.”
She cried so much that Gu Mian had grown frustrated. Gu Mian simply said, “I’ll go talk to him about it then. But I can’t promise that my older brother can come home today.”
“Okay, okay. Just ask him on our behalf.” Once Mrs. Gu finished talking, Gu Yan snatched the phone away. She asked, “Sis, are you spending New Year’s eve with Tang Zui?”
“Yeah. He’s my husband. Of course I’m spending New Year’s eve with him. Why ask?” Gu Mian thought that her younger sister’s question was quite odd.
When Tang Zui heard what Gu Mian said, he inhaled sharply and tightened his grip on the wine glass. She… she said he was her husband…
Right at the same time, Long Sijue carried Su Qianxun out of the elevator and walked over. All his close friends were around. Su Qianxun felt rather embarrassed and wanted to walk on her own. Long Sijue carried her all the way to the table and finally put her down.
