Greatest Legacy of the Magus Universe Chapter 813

The four major races were never born or evolved on this planet?

They… were brought here?

And the human species… Our place of origin is none other than Myrrandor?!!

This newfound knowledge caused Adam to be astonished, to say the least.

Never in his wildest dreams could he have imagined that the ancestors of the four major species of Tron were, in fact, outsiders!

Even with all the knowledge that he had abosrbed from the memories of the experts, he was still shocked by this revelation.

Firstly, until now, all the memories that he had absorbed were fragmented. Secondly, the knowledge did not pertain to the history of human civilization in this universe, or Myrrandor for that matter.

All he knew was that Myrrandor was considered to be one of the greatest, if not the greatest, high-tier planets in the Greater Universe.

Its mana density was so high that it allowed the Magi to reach the grand station of Rank 10!

He gazed at the Joker with a look of sheer disbelief, and couldn't help but ask, "Just why would the ancient Magi bring these races to such backwater planets? It… doesn't make sense!"

"Oh, but it does," the Joker chuckled. He resumed working on the runic formation and added, "Now, think carefully, lad. Why would the ancient Magi do such a thing?"

Adam calmed down his raging emotions and fell into deep thought. Once he had gotten a grip on his emotions, he could think of two reasons.

"Overpopulation and…" The youth's voice trailed off into a whisper, unable to believe what he was about to say.

It was at that moment that Joker turned towards him once again and revealed a faint smirk, confirming his thoughts. "Cosmic colonization!"

If the planets in the Greater Universe became overpopulated, then resources would become strained. To avoid societal collapse, Magi would relocate people to distant uninhabitated planets to relive the pressure.

However, overpopulation wasn't just seen as a problem… but an opportunity!

When the population of a certain species grew too large on the planets of the Greater Universe, the powerful Magi of that species would see it as a natural signal to spread across the stars and assert their dominion.

The growth of a species must be matched by expansion!

Adam felt like a whole new door had opened before him, and he was able to begin understanding the way of the world on a much larger scale.

In the grand scale of this universe, the squabbles that he was currently involved in with the Cult of Bones meant absolutely nothing.

Out there, in the Greater Universe, powerful Magi were pursuing the higher arcane arts and waging wars that spanned galaxies.

Before such a grand scale, he was nothing.

This newfound knowledge regarding the history of the four races in Tron changed his perspective.

Once again, he realized how small he and his problems were in the grand order of the universe.

Thinking of that, he couldn't help but sigh, "Truly a frog in a well…"

"Indeed," the Joker chuckled. "Until and unless you have become a Mana Core Magus, don't even think of traveling to the Greater Universe."

He paused for a moment, then added, "First, your frail body must be tempered to endure the strain of the grand-scale teleportation. And second, and far more important…"

The Joker grinned from ear to ear. "The Greater Universe is a hunting ground for monsters beyond your darkest nightmares.

"If you step into their domain unprepared, they will not hesitate to tear you apart… limb from limb… and leave nothing of you to spit out!"

Most people would have been scared senseless by that description, but not Adam. He wasn't afraid to face hurdles, he was eager to work hard and overcome them.

Besides… he had already glimpsed those monsters through the memories of the experts whose souls he had devoured.

He displayed a solemn expression and nodded. "I wouldn't dare to even go to the moon before I've advanced to the Mana Core Rank."

"Hmm, good lad." The Joker, once again, resumed working on the runic formation.

His expression then drastically changed, and he roared in annoyance, "Now stop interrupting me! I have been trying to finish this formation for the last twenty minutes!"

"…Fine." Adam pursed his lips.

He poured the man another drink and then continued to sip from his flat cup, deep in thought.

From the information that the Joker had given to him regarding the portal on the moon and the importance of the planetary alignment, he could surmise why rune magic and ritual magic were so important.

If my speculations are correct, rune magic would allow me to get the portal functional, he thought.

In the memories of the experts, the operation of all large-scale teleportation portals required a deep understanding of rune magic.

And considering the portal on Luna hasn't been functional for thousands of years, I would have to deepen my knowledge in rune magic to even get it started.

As for where he would get books on rune magic, he already had two sources. One was the place he was currently in, and the second was none other than the Twilight Brotherhood.

But ritual magic, Adam thought with a grave expression.

My knowledge of ritual magic is very superficial, and all of it is related to Herbalism. I need to focus more on this aspect and start making my preparations from now on!

Ritual magic was an art that relied on precise geometry, intricate runes, and the astrological alignments to channel mana for powerful, large-scale effects.

In this case, the astrological alignment referred to the time period when all the planets in the solar system aligned as one.

It would require a rigorous amount of studying and deciphering the secrets of the stars to pinpoint the precise time.

When all the planets aligned, their mana would converge, serving as the fuel required to activate the portal!

Only then will I be able to travel to Myrandor!

Adam's eyes flashed with resolve. He was glad that he had come here to meet the Joker. His questions were answered, and he felt greatly at ease.

Now, all that remains is to deal with the Cult of Bones, he thought to himself as his eyes gradually narrowed, a cold light flashing in them.

A plan had already begun to form in his mind, one that would require patience and… sacrifice.

But it had to be done.

He feared that if he didn't deal with the threat of the Cult of Bones, he might never be able to leave this planet.

"Alright, it is complete." The Joker's voice drifted into his ears, jolting him out of his thoughts.

"I swear this is the last time I'm going to do such laborious work," the eccentric overseer of the secret plane grumbled under his breath as he walked towards his fluffy, large cushion.

"Quick, lad." He waved his hand dismissively. "Do your thing and leave. I'm tired of you now."

Adam rose to his feet, chuckling lightly at that remark. He didn't take the Joker's words to heart because he knew the man didn't mean it.

If anything, the man deeply cared for his well-being. If not, he wouldn't have gone so far as to carve the runic formation for him.

Adam's dark eyes flashed with a greedy light as he looked around at all the precious artifacts stored in this underground vault.

Leave? His lips formed a smirk.

How can I leave without taking a few things from here?
