Nian Junting picked up his chopsticks, started eating her food, and it was delicious. He hadn’t had it for a long while and he missed the taste of her food dearly. He could eat this for the rest of his life.
As he munched on, he found the atmosphere uncomfortably quiet, he quickly realized that Luosang wasn’t even looking at him anymore.
“What’s the matter with you?”
“I don’t speak at mealtimes. It’s basic table manners,” Luosang replied him coldly.
Nian Junting frowned and kept quiet, but he slowly shifted his chair closer to hers and whispered, “My cheeks are fiery hot and it stings.”
Luosang gave him a side glance and said sympathetically, “I thought I told you to put some ointment on. Where’s Steward Wu?”
“I told him that we were going to have some private time. He’s out in the backyard, and I don’t know where he puts the ointment.”
‘Private time’ sounded a tad too scandalous and made Luosang blush a little so she stood up and said, “Sister Lan used to keep it beneath the wine cabinet; let me go check.”
