One of the waiters served them coffee. Luosang picked up the cup, blew on the drink, and took a small sip. It was extremely bitter. She could finally understand the dilemma when one was caught between two things that they loved. “Although you say you have evidence, how do I know if it’s real or fake? I have no way to judge what you are offering.”
“It’s a voice recording between Zeng Lijuan and Yi Jingxi.” Jiang Qifei maintained a smug posture. She opened her phone and clicked the play button. Yi Jingxi’s raspy voice began streaming. “If you dare to take the chance, I’ll send you overseas after this…” The recording stopped abruptly.
Jiang Qifei put away her phone. “You should be familiar with your fiancé’s voice.”
Luosang closed her eyes. She was. She was familiar with his voice, indeed. She would remember that voice until the day she died. Even if Jiang Qifei didn’t play her the clip, she would have believed her 80 percent.
