Luosang sighed when she saw the upset look in Yan Su’s eyes. “These are small things. I wouldn’t have told you if not for other things. I lied to him, saying that I would tell you about what happened, and he said that I was trying to sow discord between the two of you. Yan Su asked in a daze, “You mean to say that Shi Xiang found himself a rich man’s daughter?”
Luosang frowned. “I can’t be sure, but a normal man would deny things when someone says something like that. He should have clarified and denied relations with this Young Mistress, but he didn’t say a word about it. He just smiled. That could either mean that he was just playing around with her or there was really something going on between them.”
Yan Su was taking in short gasps of air. It pained Luosang to see her pale small face. She knew these things, but she needed Luosang to break them down for her bit by bit before she could confront the reality of things.
