After Luosang returned to school, she went straight to the music academy to look for Yan Su.
Classes had not ended yet, so after waiting for a while, the bell rang and students started streaming out from the lecture theatres. Yan Su was trailing behind when Luosang caught sight of her. She quickly pulled her aside.
“What’s the matter?” Yan Su was puzzled by her somber expression.
“Su, you are such a traitor. I trusted you with all my heart.” Luosang propped her hands on her waist. “You were Nian Junting’s spy all along, aren’t you? You told him my secret that I wanted to birth his child?”
“Yeah…”
Yan Su looked guilty. “I was forced…”
“You could have at least given me a heads up. You didn’t have to tell him everything.” Luosang nodded her head, feeling like a fool. “I know you were the one who told him about my flight details when we flew to Beijing, didn’t you? Is that why we bumped into each other?”

“You guys put on such a good act,” Luosang said gritting her teeth. “You two played me like a fool.”
“I didn’t have a choice. Mr. Nian had figured everything out and came to interrogate me.” Yan Su grimaced saying, “He threatened my career if I said I wouldn’t play along. I didn’t tell him even then until he threatened to sow discord between the two of us once he married you. He is evil, that man.”
Luosang laughed saying, “How could our friendship be so fragile that he could come between us?”
“He also said that… he would make me the godmother of your child,” Yan Su mumbled and saw that Luosang was glaring at her by now. She quickly raised both her hands in an act of surrender. “I’m out of love, are you still going to be mad at me? Aren’t you worried that I would have suicidal thoughts after losing both my boyfriend and my best friend?”
Luosang felt something stuck in her throat and she couldn’t speak.
She opened her mouth in silence and finally said, “Fine, you’re the boss since you just fell out of love.”
“Yeah, you know how upset I have been recently. I’ve had so many sleepless nights,” Yan Su said pleadingly.
Luosang knew how difficult things were for her.
She saw her lights switched on when she got up in the middle of the night for water.
She couldn’t bear to scold her further.
Yan Su quickly added, “Mr. Nian was in quite a sorry state too. He had stood below our apartment for two days in the rain. Poor him…”
“He was pretending. He knew that I was threatened by Jiang Qifei long ago,” Luosang said grumpily.
Yan Su was stunned. “No, he only came to look for me after. He didn’t know about that before he came for me. He was quite angry at you after I told him the truth and he thought you were being inconsiderate of his feelings. He felt hurt you didn’t trust him enough to let him in on your secret. He didn’t feel so bad after he found out you wanted to tie him down with a baby.”
“No, but he told me…” Luosang finally understood what was going on. He lied to her again.
He boasted about his superior acting. What a load of lies.
“How did you find out in the end?” Yan Su was puzzled. “It doesn’t make sense. Mr. Nian would never have told you the truth until you were pregnant. He really wants to be a father. Are you…”
