C45 Ye Qin
"Qi Ning." As he stepped out of the school gates that afternoon, Qi Ning heard his name being called.
He turned to look but didn't recognize anyone.
Just as he was about to walk away, he noticed someone in the crowd waving at him.
Qi Ning gave the person a puzzled glance and then pointed to himself.
The person nodded in confirmation.
Ye Qin was the class president of Sigu No. 1 Middle School's senior class. She consistently ranked at the top of her exams. With her sweet appearance and distinguished family background, she was the dream girl of every student at the school.
Wherever she went, she was the center of attention.
Qi Ning had resigned himself to the idea that he and Ye Qin would likely never be friends.
As Ye Qin approached him, Qi Ning's heart felt like it was climbing up his throat.
"What do you need?" Qi Ning asked, feigning composure.
Yet his facial expression and hand gestures gave away his genuine curiosity.
Ye Qin smiled slightly and said, "I have a question I'd like to ask you."
Qi Ning gave her a surprised look, feeling somewhat perplexed.
Ye Qin was an excellent student, so her request for his help was quite puzzling.
"What's the question?" Qi Ning inquired.
Ye Qin glanced around and let out a wry smile. "Are you sure you want to chat here?"
Noticing the crowd gathering around them, Qi Ning's brow furrowed.
Ye Qin's allure was indeed overwhelming.
Eventually, they found themselves sitting in a bubble tea shop.
"Could you help me with this question?" Ye Qin handed him a physics exam paper.
Although Qi Ning had chosen humanities, he was well-versed in the sciences, thanks to a special system.
He looked at the paper, finding it oddly familiar.
"Is this your homework?"
It was the very exam he had taken that day.
Ye Qin nodded with a smile. "This is your exam from today. I went out of my way to get a copy from the teacher. I thought these questions would be easy, but I was mistaken."
Qi Ning had already tackled this exam, so he knew exactly how challenging it was.
"Let me walk you through it," he offered.
And with that, he shared his insights with Ye Qin.
As Qi Ning spoke, Ye Qin wasn't looking at the exam paper; instead, she watched him with a curious expression.
Noticing Ye Qin's dazed look, Qi Ning waved his hand in front of her and asked, "Do you have any more questions?"
Ye Qin's face flushed with embarrassment. She quickly shook her head and replied, "No, none at all."
Qi Ning nodded and added, "If you have any questions in the future, feel free to come to me at any time."
Ye Qin took his words to heart.
Watching Ye Qin leave, Qi Ning showed no particular emotion.
He was acutely aware of the significant gap between him and Ye Qin.
