Morning came, and Luck was still snoring on the reception desk. He did this because he was afraid Neve would run away from him first thing in the morning.
He hadn't exactly made a good impression, so expecting the worst felt natural.
Then, someone gently tapped his hair. He slowly lifted his head and saw her trying hard to act normal.
"Thank you for last night. I'm sorry if I acted strange... I was just—"
She couldn't finish. It seemed she still wasn't ready to fully let her guard down.
"It's fine. You paid to stay here, so it's my duty to provide the best service—food and safety included."
Neve let out a small smile—the first real one—but quickly hid it by looking away.
"And those wolves last night?" she inquired.
"Yeah, they tried to attack the place, so I had to kill them. I didn't want to, but I had to protect you somehow."
Neve nodded slowly, her eyes softening. "I get it... Thank you for protecting me."
Luck was immediately struck by her beauty. She could easily be a superstar back in his old world with how perfect her features were.
Even though she hadn't taken a bath yet, she smelled surprisingly nice—like lemon and ginger on a fresh morning.
"Oh right, it's already morning. Wait here—I'll cook something for you." He stood up and stretched his arms.
"Is it the same as last night? It was really delicious." she looked exited.
"Sure, but last night was beef broth. You should try seafood or chicken this time."
Neve looked curious. "Okay, I'd like to try that."
With that settled, Luck started preparing the meal while she went back to her room to take a bath.
He didn't want her to see how simple it was to make because it would take away the effort part.
Better if she thought of him as someone who knew his way around the kitchen, like perfect husband material.
'If she falls for me, then we could do those couple things, right?'
His thoughts drifted as he looked at the motel, imagining her undressing and taking a shower.
Though he acted calm around her, he would be lying if he said he didn't fantasize about her body.
No man could ignore that kind of charm—especially not a 20-year-old virgin like him.
'She smells like lemon and ginger... I wonder if she tastes like it too,' he thought, his thoughts running wild as he pictured her soft, red lips.

He poured the hot water into his newly bought thermos. The plan was to cook the noodles after she finished, to keep them from getting soggy.
Just as he settled at the reception desk, a loud thud came from her bedroom, followed by a groan of pain.
Heart racing, he grabbed the spare keys and hurried into the bedroom .
Before he could even catch his breath, he spotted Neve—sitting on the floor, completely naked. Her smooth, porcelain-like skin still glistened from the shower.
Her eyes widened like saucers as they both stared at each other, unsure of what to say.
"Get out! Get out!" she screamed, flailing her arms to cover her chest and private parts.
Luck froze, cheeks burning bright red. "Uh... I just came to check on you. I thought something happened."
"I know, I know! Just get out and stop staring. I'm fine," she protested.
Reluctantly, he turned around. He was still enjoying the view, but it wouldn't look good if she thought he was some lustful, horny animal.
'I thought all those fan service moments only happened in anime,'
Even now, the image of her body kept replaying in his mind—the color of her skin, her pinkish nipples, and that freshly shaved slit that looked too perfect.
She was definitely the most beautiful girl in the land—both inside and out, literally.
'I didn't even see any hair at all. Does that mean she doesn't grow any? Woah, that's definitely a plus.'
The more he thought about it, the more fixated he became.
Finally, he decided to step outside and breathe some fresh air before doing something he'd regret.
He repeated it over and over like a mantra, hoping to find some clarity and push away his human desires.
His thoughts drifted halfway through, so he gave up on enlightenment and did a push-up instead.
Sweat poured down his forehead, but his energy stayed off the charts—especially downstairs, where it stood straighter than the Empire State Building.
He needed to release all this built-up desire... fast.
