Harry Potter: Beyond the Parselveil Chapter 102

Back to the Hp world, were we left off.

After the conversation, Aaric got up to leave.

"Won't you sleep here tonight?" Edwina asked.

He shook his head. "I'll visit the island and then go back to Hogwarts."

Edwina kissed his forehead as Chaya wrapped herself around him, ready to teleport them.

"Oh, and I have a girlfriend now," Aaric said with a grin before disappearing in a flash of light. The last thing he saw was Edwina's surprised face, clearly wanting to ask a million questions.

Aaric arrived on the island and laughed softly before heading toward the goblin community. He made his way straight to a sealed, cave-like structure and stepped inside.

As he entered, a golden light filled the entire chamber. When his eyes adjusted, he saw piles of dragonsteel stacked neatly along the walls, and above them, a golden scale, the source of the glow.

The scale was embedded in a rune-covered mechanism that absorbed the magical energy in the area, funnelling it through the scale and allowing that power to seep into the metal.

Near the center of the chamber lay a dragon egg, resting comfortably beneath the golden radiance.

Aaric approached it and smiled. "So your legacy lives on," he said softly, glancing up at the golden scale and thinking of the dragon it came from.

He pulled a small golden seed from his pocket, looked at the egg once more, and placed the seed upon it. The seed slowly sank into the shell and disappeared.

Aaric smiled at the sight, then turned to Chaya. "Let's go back to my room at Hogwarts," he said, giving her a small kiss. With a flash of light, they vanished.

Back in his room, Aaric lay down on his bed with a faint grin. 'So we will be going to the Game of Thrones world, huh.' He had watched the series in his previous life, all five seasons.

A ripple shimmered through the air, and a small piece of parchment fell to the floor. Aaric picked it up and read Luna's handwriting: May I come in?

A smile touched his lips. "Yes," he said aloud.

The darkness rippled again, and Luna appeared in his room, smiling shyly before leaning in to kiss him.

"What brings you here?" Aaric asked, amused.

"I just wanted to spend time with you," she replied, blushing.

Understanding her perfectly, Aaric lay back and opened his arms. Luna beamed, curled up against him, and rested her head on his chest. They talked quietly for a while before she drifted to sleep with a smile on her face.

A few days before the First Task

Fleur had asked Aaric to train with her, and he had agreed. They were in the champions' training area, sparring.

"How are you zis good" Fleur asked, wide-eyed.

Aaric smirked. "That was just a little bit of my strength." he said, flexing his bicep which was not visible because of the robes he was wearing.

Fleur rolled her eyes and smiled. "At least zat means you will be safeur," she said, glancing at her schedule. "I 'ave Potions class." She waved before leaving.

Aaric waved back and noticed Daphne approaching.

"How about you spar with me now?" she asked with a grin, drawing her wand.

Aaric shook his head, making her pout. He smiled and poked her cheek. "Let's go by the Black Lake. Luna should be there."

Daphne nodded and took his hand as they walked toward the lake, where Luna sat reading The Quibbler.

Aaric crept up behind her and gently covered her eyes, making her giggle. She turned and smiled up at him before leaning in to kiss him.

Daphne, already aware of their relationship, said nothing and simply sat beside Luna.

"The First Task is in a few days," Daphne said. "Have you figured out what it is?"

Aaric nodded with a small smirk. "You were right. It involves dragons."

Daphne raised an eyebrow, then shrugged. "I have seen your skill enough to know you can handle a dragon."

A/N: Took hours to write this short chapter. I will pick up the pace a bit from here.
