The majority of the ride to the police station was filled with the officer asking Nick questions in hopes of jogging his memory but the blank look and shake of the head Nick gave him showed how fruitless that was. The officer led Nick by the hand into the station getting some curious looks from the other officers along the way until he reached the reception office and spoke with the officer manning the desk. He reported the situation and Nick was told to wait on a nearby bench as they figured out what to do by the officer who brought him here.-
About five minutes or so later a woman in a blue outfit showed up to come get Nick and bring him back to the onsite medical room to get him cleaned up and looked at for his injuries. Nick was embarrassed at needing to strip for the examination but understood the necessity of it with his possible full body injuries. The moment he removed his shirt (which was thrown away) the woman gasped in horror as all across his chest were massive purple and blue bruises and welts. His arms weren't much better either clearly showing how badly he had been injured.-
"You poor thing." the woman said with pity as she filled the sink nearby with hot water and wetted a rag to clean his face and chest. She was as gentle as she could be but Nick stilled had to grit his teeth in pain as she wiped the gunk off of him. Nicks shirt had taken most of the disgusting stuff but some of the rotten fluids had still soaked through and covered his torso. Once his chest was clean the woman moved onto his neck and head which didn't have anything covering it and was as a result covered in a foul smelling mix of trash , mud and blood.-
Unfortunately this also meant that the woman needed to be much rougher with her scrubbing which hurt a bit. She couldn't help apologizing multiple times seeing the teary eyes of Nick but didn't stop cleaning him up. The biggest problem came from Nicks hair that was basically unsalvageable with all the stuff stuck in it requiring the woman to cut it all off with a pair of scissors. It was at this point that Nick learned that his new body had grey almost silver blonde colored hair.
The woman got a bit angry at whoever caused Nick to end up like this as a result as such a hair color was very rare and interesting but not unheard of. It was usually found in people with family histories of nobility due to the inbreeding nobles of old did. Once his hair was basically gone the woman thoroughly cleaned his head revealing the bruises on it including a particularly nasty open gash on his forehead. Nick was allowed to wash his lower half on his his since he clearly wasn't injured there merely dirty.-
Once he was clean The woman gave Nick a blanket to cover himself with while she took his foul smelling clothes away to be disposed. Now alone and basically naked Nick was startled when a loading screen popped up right in front of his eyes.

Nick blinked a few dozen times in quick succession to make sure he's not seeing things but when the screen didn't disappear he grew excited. -
How could he not when before he died he had heard of similar scenarios happening in in popular media such as anime or online stories. He didn't agree to accept the starter pack however as he didn't have access to the inventory function and wasn't willing to risk a bunch of items popping up out of thin air in the middle of a police station. (No officer I have no idea how these valuable things popped out of nowhere , please feel free to keep them for safeties sake) 'Yeah right I need all the advantages I can take.' Nick thought with a small chuckle that merely flared up his injuries making him have to hold his laughter.
