So I have been patient for the most part with my readers , but some of you(not many) have complained about a few things that I feel I need to address. First and foremost I am writing in general as a hobby to entertain myself , this story is no exception. I put a poll down on my pa treon to choose the next story I wrote and this one got the majority vote. I am not writing this story for money or anything like that. My pa treon was set up specifically so that anyone who joined it did so because they liked my stories and wanted to support me.
The extra five chapters ahead of everyone else were my way of giving something back to them. This said all these comments saying how bad my plot is or the way I wrote the story was wrong or weird or whatever are pointless. The story isn't meant to appeal to everyone , just me and I am quite happy with it so far. Next up on my list of unreasonable complains that I have been given is the length of my chapters. They are 800 words long EVERY SINGLE TIME , they aren't short at all , they aren't getting shorter and they don't need to be bigger since I post new stuff almost everyday.
After that is all the people complaining about the plot of the story and how it feels summarized or like it's skipping in places. It seems that way because it is in fact like that in some parts and for good reason too. Reading about someone's boring everyday life where nothing interesting happens is just that , boring. I don't like writing it and I certainly don't like reading it and so I move time forward to a point that is actually worth noting.
Next up is the complaints I have been getting about the way I write characters or simply haven't wrote characters. When I started this story I boiled down the characters to their base elements , Harry was an insecure boy who was desperate to fit in while Dumbledore was a manipulative , paranoid old man with good intentions. In a nutshell this fit the characters to a tee since J.K herself wrote them like this in her stories. All I did was adapt the characters to the situation of my own story and run with it.
In regards to all the comments I have been getting about clichs or tropes I feel the need to express that the story has barely even begun yet and so I have to get all the annoying background details set up before it can really get to the exciting stuff. You know , things that seem pointless now but become important later , that background stuff? That's where those come from when I am writing the chapters.
All of this said I am not just venting my issues here at everyone , I truly do appreciate that others read my stories and enjoy them and I even enjoy when people ask reasonable questions like "Does his avian dominion apply to Thestrals or veela's?" things like that. It makes me happy to see people engaging with the story and trying to figure out what I am setting up for the future and what is actually just fluff. For everyone who isn't part of the groups this is targeted at I apologize that you were subjected to this post and ask for your understanding.
