Harry Potter: Westeros’s Plant Life Chapter 107

If the unlocking charm didn't work, then what spell would?

Due to the "Energy Amplification" effect of the Wisdom Tree, Adrian accidentally failed to control his power and directly blasted away half of the cabinet.

Adrian hadn't expected the power to be so great.

It seemed he would need to spend more time familiarizing himself with this new ability.

Fortunately, the office had excellent soundproofing. Although the disturbance was somewhat significant, it probably wouldn't be heard by others.

After carefully searching through the things in the cabinet, Adrian found a small bag of leftover potion ingredients and a crumpled notebook pressed under a stack of old textbooks.

Those ingredients must have been Voldemort's stock for maintaining life.

So, Adrian turned his attention to the notebook.

The notebook was light green, with no title or signature on the cover.

Curiously, Adrian opened the notebook.

After checking the first page, he realized it was a diary, as each passage began with a date.

"Keeping a diary isn't a good habit, Quirrell..."

Adrian murmured, then continued flipping through.

The records began from July 2, 1991.

[July 2, 1991: Today is the third day of my arrival in Albania. This cursed forest is stranger than I imagined, with trees twisted beyond recognition and bark that oozes slime. I hope things will go smoothly from now on.

July 11: Today I encountered a fellow claiming to be a vampire, who kept following me. Whenever I turned around, he would smile at me. How dreadful, I think he wants to drink my blood.

July 12: I disposed of that vampire. Ha, it seems my recent practice hasn't been in vain. However, I still feel like something else is following me.

July 14: I somewhat regret listening to Trelawney's words. She said I could find my future here? Damn it, I shouldn't have listened to her in the first place. What future? All I see before me are these trees!]

The entries abruptly ended at July 14, 1991.

Adrian guessed that after this, Quirrell would encounter Voldemort, allowing Voldemort to parasitize the back of his head.

Then he discontinued updating this diary.

However, a name in the diary caught Adrian's attention.

Sybill Trelawney, the Divination professor at Hogwarts.

Adrian had seen her only a handful of times this semester, as she spent most of her time hiding in her own office.

She rarely appeared except during classes.

Trelawney had actually made a prophecy for Quirrell?

And based on Quirrell's description, it was quite possibly a real prophecy, not just crazy nonsense.

Quirrell had most likely been "tricked" by Trelawney's prophecy into going to the Black Forest in Albania.

After pocketing the notebook, Adrian left Quirrell's office. He needed to find Sybill Trelawney and get some answers.

Trelawney's office was in the attic at the top of Hogwarts' North Tower.

Adrian hadn't chosen Divination during his school years.

Back then, Adrian had heard that Dumbledore wanted to shut down the Divination class.

This was enough to prove the superficiality of Divination, so he was unwilling to spend time on such a meaningless filler class.

He had no talent for divination.

Trelawney had taken the professorial position around his fifth or sixth year.

Who was the Divination professor before Trelawney?

Adrian couldn't remember clearly.

While reminiscing, Adrian successfully reached the top of the North Tower.

Here was a small platform with a circular trapdoor in the ceiling. This was the entrance to the Divination classroom. In all likelihood, Trelawney was probably inside.

Adrian waved his hand, and Devil's Snare extended from his sleeve to knock on the trapdoor.

"Professor Trelawney, are you there?"

However, after waiting outside for half a minute, Adrian still received no response.

So, he directly controlled the Devil's Snare to approach the trapdoor.

The sound of the trapdoor falling came from the ceiling.

The trapdoor had been directly knocked off by the Devil's Snare, leaving only an empty hole.

"You'll have to be responsible for fixing Trelawney's door later," Adrian said to the Devil's Snare.

The Devil's Snare indicated that this was entirely Adrian's instruction and had nothing to do with it.

With such a commotion, footsteps finally came from the ceiling. Soon, a head emerged from the doorless hole.

It was Trelawney. Upon seeing Adrian, Trelawney displayed a confused expression.

"Professor Westeros," she said, "What brings you here? Why did you break my door?"

"That was an accident," Adrian called from below. "May I come up?"

Trelawney nodded. "Wait a moment, I'll get the ladder."

However, just as Trelawney turned to fetch the ladder, the Devil's Snare vines had already extended through the doorway, wrapping around a pillar.

The next second, Adrian had already been lifted up by the Devil's Snare.

Trelawney turned back to see Adrian already standing in the room, and couldn't help blinking, saying, "It seems you're quite nimble."

Then, she suddenly walked clack-clack up to Adrian, leaned in close to his face, and with bulging eyes said, "However, no matter how nimble your feet, you cannot escape death's pursuit... I see your death; would you like to know how you die... a rope... a face hidden in darkness..."

Adrian saw Trelawney slowly approaching him, her large glasses almost pressed against his face, and he couldn't help but step back.

Well, it seemed quite intimidating. But it was just intimidation, nothing more.

Even though Adrian didn't know what a real prophecy looked like, this was certainly Trelawney's attempt at mysticism.

Adrian was interrupted halfway through his sentence by Trelawney.

"Ah, I already know," she quickly pulled Adrian to a table and said, "You've come to ask me for a divination, haven't you? Come here... I need to prepare some things."

Before Adrian could reply, Trelawney had already brought out a crystal ball and a set of tea things.

However, these items wouldn't be needed today.

"Actually," Adrian waved his hand, "I have some questions to ask you, Professor Trelawney."

Trelawney showed a surprised expression, but she quickly said, "Of course! This is also within my expectations, my crystal ball has already told me, look—"

Adrian looked at the crystal ball Trelawney was pointing to, but there was nothing in it.

"Only those with innate divination talent can see what's in the crystal ball," she said, head held high.
