If he stayed in the country, with his grades, it wouldn’t be a problem for him to get into the best university.
But a few days ago, his grandfather talked to him about his studies again, still wanting him to go to Switzerland for his education.

Gu Shiting studied science, and might not have much of a literary side, but he could always understand Sheng Tang’s poems.
This poem was about an unwavering commitment.
Having made a promise, I will wait for you forever, no matter what kind of suffering and hardships I endure.
You go abroad to study, I will wait for you here. In other words, I won’t go with you.
Gu Shiting didn’t feel disappointed.
He read the last few lines over and over: "If the water comes, I will wait for you in the water; if the fire comes, I will wait for you in the ashes."
This was Tangtang’s promise to him.
