Sheng Tang returned to her seat.
Gu Jiahui and Fu Qingcen had been talking for quite a while.
Fu Qingcen was all smiles, her previous displeasure gone, and she generously glanced at Sheng Tang.
Someone in the shadows was taking photos.
Sheng Tang reminded Gu Jiahui, "There’s a camera."
"It’s fine, her fans all know I’m her boss," Gu Jiahui said softly.
After eating, they directly used the employee passage of the restaurant and went down to the underground parking lot.
As the car drove out, Sheng Tang saw many young girls gathered at the restaurant door, trying to get in.
It seemed the news that Fu Qingcen was dining there had spread, attracting her fans.
"Why were you on the phone for so long?" Gu Jiahui asked Sheng Tang while driving.
Sheng Tang: "Just a coincidence, met a high school classmate and chatted a bit."
"Which classmate?"
"His name is Qi Lin. He seems to be an intern director now, working as an assistant director under Director Han Haoming," Sheng Tang said.
Gu Jiahui squinted slightly.
"Director Han Haoming?" he showed some interest, "He’s not easy to associate with. I heard he has three projects in the works. Next time we’re free, how about we invite your classmate to a meal together?"

Gu Jiahui then asked, "Was your classmate in the student council?"
"I think so?"

Sheng Tang laughed and asked him, "You keep notes?"
"Huishi High School was full of second-generation rich kids, the chances of meeting them in society are high, so it’s natural to network broadly," Gu Jiahui said.
Sheng Tang nodded, "Right."
"Why didn’t you network more?"
"Everyone has their aspirations," Sheng Tang smiled, "I believe relationships are built on mutual benefit rather than flattery. When I was in high school, my family background was simple; they might have had what I wanted, but I didn’t have what they wanted.
If I had tried to network then, I’d have been seen as a clown, looked down upon. You’re different, you’re Gu You’s son, they feel honored to associate with you.
When I truly rise to fame, and those classmates realize I have status and usefulness, I can slowly reel them back in, and it will be just the same."
Gu Jiahui looked at the traffic ahead, his lips curved slightly.
The smile in his eyes was so evident.
Sheng Tang’s thoughts were deep; it was the aspect Gu Jiahui appreciated most about her. She understood everything, measured every situation clearly.
She could make anyone captivated.
No wonder Gu Shiting loved her so much.
The next day, Qi Lin called Sheng Tang.
Sheng Tang complied smoothly and asked him, "Can I bring my boyfriend along? He’s also from Huishi High School, and he’s our senior, you remember Gu Jiahui, right?"
There was a noticeable pause on the other end of the call.

Sheng Tang understood why he was so surprised.
Gu Jiahui’s fame at Huishi High School was no less than Gu Shiting’s. And Sheng Tang, back then, was Gu Shiting’s girlfriend, and now she’s Gu Jiahui’s.
Being able to date the two most handsome guys of that time, classmates being surprised was quite normal.
They had a business meal together.

He graduated just last year.
In his junior year, he interned at a TV station in the United States, became an assistant director, and returned at the end of last year to work with Director Han Haoming as an assistant director.
"Why did you suddenly want to become a director?" Sheng Tang asked him with a smile, "I never heard you mention it before."
Qi Lin seemed momentarily at a loss for words.
He paused before smiling and saying, "We didn’t talk much back then, so it never came up, but I always wanted to be a director. My family didn’t agree initially. They only relented when they saw how determined I was."
