The New Year holiday wasn’t over yet, and Sheng Tang was very thin and afraid of the cold. She was still wearing a thick down jacket.
When the thug pulled out the dagger, Sheng Tang dodged, and the dagger only slashed her left arm, tearing her jacket and sweater, leaving a shallow cut on her arm.
There was a little blood, and it didn’t need stitches, Sheng Tang could see that herself.
After the incident, Sheng Tang had to stay at the scene to wait for the police and cooperate with recording a statement.
Two security guards each helped up a child who had fallen crying into the greenbelt, while another security guard came to help Sheng Tang subdue the thug and asked her, "Miss, is your injury okay?"
Sheng Tang glanced at him and said it was fine.
Next, one of the security guards returned to the security office to make a call.
He first called the police, explaining the location and the incident, and then called the parents of the children.
These two kids lived in the community, and the security guards knew them, as well as their parents’ phone numbers.
They waited for a while, and the parents of the kids came out first.
It was a slender lady, in a state of panic.
"Are you okay? Are you okay?" She first hugged her daughter, checked her carefully, then looked at her son, asking the same meaningless question.
The two kids only kept crying.
"Where is Auntie?" She asked the kids again.
It was obvious that her kids were taken out to play by the nanny.
The kids pointed to the street behind them.
They had apparently snuck back home, shaking off the nanny.
"What exactly happened?" The lady then saw the thug on the ground, and Sheng Tang beside him, asking again, with a bit of confusion on her face.
The security guard explained to her, "Mrs. Ding, someone tried to kidnap your kids. It’s this person and his accomplice."
He pointed to the thug pinned to the ground and then at Sheng Tang, "It was this young lady. She came out of the community and was waiting for a car. She saw it first, knocked him down, and got slashed."
Mrs. Ding’s face showed more shock and fear as she listened.
She let go of the kids and walked over to Sheng Tang with concern, "Is your injury serious? How about you go to the hospital first?"
Finally, she saw the bleeding on Sheng Tang’s arm.
"It’s just a slash, the bleeding has stopped," Sheng Tang said, "I’ll take care of it when I get home."
Mrs. Ding, still emotional, stepped forward and gave Sheng Tang a strong hug, "Thank you, you were so brave!"
"I’ve practiced Sanda for a few years, it’s fine," Sheng Tang said, "If I hadn’t been so careless, I wouldn’t have been slashed. It was just a small effort, don’t worry about it. If it were my kids in trouble and you saw it, you wouldn’t just sit by either."
Despite her words, this great kindness would not be forgotten.
The police hadn’t arrived yet, but Song Chen and Gu Shiting ran out of the community one after the other.
Especially Gu Shiting, who ran extremely fast and was out of breath.
He rushed up to Sheng Tang and grabbed her arm, "You..."
"It’s okay, it’s not serious," Sheng Tang explained, "just a scratch."
Without another word, Gu Shiting picked her up horizontally.
Sheng Tang: "..."
He carried Sheng Tang back, his lips tightly pursed. Sheng Tang asked him to put her down, but he didn’t listen, so she said no more.
Song Chen stayed behind to interact with everyone.
Gu Shiting was carrying Sheng Tang back, halfway there they saw Gu Shiyan.
She should have come out a bit later. The elevator was taken by her brother and Song Chen first, so she had to wait for the next one, and walking was a bit slow, so she lagged behind.
"Tangtang, you’re hurt?" Gu Shiyan exclaimed in shock.
