"Watch out " Micheal blurted out.
Everfrost flapped its wings,causing an ice arrow to clash with the approaching ball of fire.
" These guys have activated the protective arrays of their sect. Anyone who approaches the sect will naturally trigger the defense mechanism of their array" Micheal explained.
" I see. We are leaving with the ingredients for the potion,whether they like it or not. If their approach is fighting, then its what they’ll get. Let me handle this guys. You guys should get away from here so you don’t get caught in the attacks"
Charles tapped on a portion of his shirt, as a floating button so miniscule that it would not be obvious to the naked eye floated into the sky .
The button divided itself into miniscule portions, hovering various kilometers above the sect.

Arrie and Micheal shook their heads.
The group quickly retreated on the back of Everfrost towards a neighboring mountain peak, not in the least bit worried about Kailen. It was as though they were about to watch a fight scene in a tv show.
Kailen and co stared at the large dome flickering with golden lights that had covered the sect.
He could see the scoffing looks on the face of the sect members.
He activated shadow manipulation and made use of his Elemental mirroring .
He could see the outline of any individual with worldly natural energy coursing through their system thanks to the elemental mirroring’s effect, alongside being able to naturally determine the outlines of their shadows.
His brows furrowed slightly " A global level guardian awakener, interesting. Must be their sect leader "
The outline with the reddish worldly natural energy coursing through his veins seemed to stare back at him from several hundred of kilometers away.
" His perception is high. Is that killing intent? Does this bastard want to kill me?"
Another shadow creature materialised into existence. It was a large obisidian hobgoblin boasting several 100 meters tall with a large club in its hands.
The hobgoblin swung the club with maddened ferocity, smashing the protective array into smithereens.
As a last attempt to get back at the opponent, a dragon made of fire soared to life from the array, clashing with the club of the hobgoblin.
The air grew still for a few seconds until multiple shockwaves spread towards multiple directions,turning the sky into a a yellowish color. The hobgoblin remained firm on the ground, staring down at the members of the sect with palpable rage in its deep abyss like eyes, as if to sear his image into their very souls.

The dragon from the formation dissapeared , having been obliterated by the club of the hobgoblin ,revealing the domeless interior of the sect .
Everyone stared at the young man leizurely seated at the shoulder of the hobgoblin with shock and palpable fear. This was when most of them recognized him.

An old man with white hair and well chiseled upper body appeared above the sect ,causing the scared sect members to calm down.

Ignoring the dramatic shouts of his sect members, the sect leader stared at Kailen Darkhaven.
" He’s strong" . He mused inwardly.
" Friend, it seems you brought yourself straight to the lion’s den"

Randusa chuckled " Don’t feign ignorance. Blame yourself for offending someone you should not offend. That person said I should kill you. I however didn’t know that your information network would be so broad that you’d know about it and take the initiative to rather attack me. You decided strike by surprise right?"
Kailen stared at the man, confused. He mused inwardly " What the hell is this guy talking about ?And who might want me dead?"

He now got the gist of the whole situation.
He came here to get ingredients from making a potion for Micheal, however this guy misunderstood ,thinking Kailen had a great intelligent network and for that matter,he had caught onto the planned attack on his life.

" I only came here for a few ingredients for a potion I want to make. But to think someone like me with the same privileges the president of the federation enjoys would be given such a bad welcome. And on top of that, you actually want to have me killed?" Kaiken’s voice was turning icilly cold as he spoke, a couple of shadow wings appeared on his back.
A shadow katana appeared in his hands after being formed from several shadow creatures in the shadow expanse.
The remaining shadow creatures including Vengeful ,materialised around him from head to toe as an obsidian armor, filling him with profound power .
Kailen had one principle, an eye for an eye,a tooth for a tooth.
Without wasting any more time with Randusa, he muttered " Astral Nova"
