Kailen had been waiting for this moment for a very long time.
Only he knew how much the thought of finding out what was in this diary of parents but not having the ability to do so drove him nuts on a daily basis.
Quickly, the young man conjured a key from one of the rank 1 beginner stage Ascendant level shadow creatures in the shadow expanse.
The key appeared before Kailen, hovering in the air.
The key completly fit into the keyhole on the front page of the hole, making a click sound.
The straps that covered the book retracted firmly, as the book opened.
Kailen heaved a sigh deeply, staring at the first page.
"Today, I , Saul Darkhaven, was almost murdered by my elder brother, the heir to the Darkhaven Clan, one of the powerful clans in the Eclipse Solar system in the Astral Galaxy"
Kailen remained calmed, reigning in his shock.
He had so many questions just from reading these few words. However he controlled himself.
He had to finish the pages first, then digest what he read, inasmuch he was extremely shocked.
"Inasmuch as I have always declared my desire to never involve myself in anything related to the family fortune, I guess he was still paranoid.
Why would he try to kill me? I trusted him! He is my brother for fuck’s sake!
Being a rank 5 supreme stage Ascendant lifeform , whereas he is a rank 1 beginner stage Galactic lifeform, it was obvious I was no match for him during the planned assassination .
Thank goodness I managed to escape with my wife, Selena , using a one time use space warping device I found in an ancient ruin during one exploration .Yet the bastard still pursued us for many years until we finally managed to hide our trail after traversing plains and landing on a backwater undiscovered planet called earth. This world just experienced an awakening. So many things are happening here with people dying every day and lives being lost. However we decided to no get involved. Kailen stared at what he was reading in shock and anger.
Tears were currently visible on his face.
No wonder his parents never shared their origins with him.

And his father and mother were almost murdered by his father’s own brother. Kailen’s eyes were full of rage.
Also it seemed they arrived on earth at the time of the great change, but chose to not get involved in the affairs of the world since they had their own matters to deal with.
"Together, my wife and I attempted a breakthrough with a talent enhancing potion so that we could get to the rank one beginner stage galactic lifeform level in order to return to the clan and take revenge on my brother for attempting to kill my wife and I.
After 200 years of attempting a breakthrough , the potion has backfired and we have lost all our strength and our awakened ability . We have literally become mundane persons . Selena also failed , meeting the same fate, as the purity level of the talent enhancing potions we had purchased during our escape from my brother in the universe was quite low since my brother had found a way to freeze all our financial accounts.Damn potions!!!We lost it all!. Relax Saul. You both knew the risks of using a potion with such low purity for attempting a breakthrough,yet you tried. And you failed. At least you tried. Revenge therefore is our of the question"

The time dilation artifact showed a flicker of feminine emotion in her eyes as she stared at Kailen. The young man was currently showing expressions mixed with fear , anger and hatred ,grief.
" This kid is really having a tough time. He needs to burden with Arrie Hall. I will advise him to tell her about his parents when he has the time, however my presence should remain a secret for now"
Oblivious to the Time Dilation Artifact’s thoughts, Kailen continued reading from where he paused "The illusion dome I cast over the planet has probably worn off by now. We just emerged from seclusion as mundane people after 200 years of trying to break through to the galactic rank after all. The 200 years period for the dome to dissappear is up. This planet will be discovered by not just my brother,but other powerhouses in the universe. An S ranked evolved planet is a planet many powerhouses would fight over . Well it’s not our fault though.This planet was bound to be discovered and dominated by a powerhouse in the universe whether or not we had arrived. So we did them a favor in the end by casting the dome on the planet. What do we do now?"
Kailen paused reading. He could feel the helplessness in his father’s written words.
He flipped to the next page " Today,we gave birth to our son. We decided to name him Kailen, after his great grandfather. He is so handsome"
Kailen couldn’t stop the tears from falling from his eyes.
He knew this handwriting. It was his mum’s handwriting . " Mum.."
