The humongous centaur was a literal insurmountable mountain of universe energy.
Kailen could see it’s universe energy pathways were extremely dense -one of the most dense forms of worldly natural energy he had ever come across.
Nearing the vicinity where the creature lay asleep - a valley sprawled with a carpet of ice and jagged ice peircing through the clouds, the creature’s eyes flashed open, revealing a pair of deep brown irisis that locked directly unto Kailen as though they were peering into his very soul.
The young man felt a heavy pressure bear on him as the centaur rose.
It had four collosal feet akin to that of a horse, it’s lower body from the waist down region, donned in a brownish horse-like exterior ,pulsing with golden runes.
It’s upper body from the waist up bore a collosal humanoid form,pulsing with muscles and thick pillar like arms.
Snow white hair swayed endlessly in the blizzards rampaging past the environs.
The creature was a collosal mountain, it’s shadow stretching past the whole vicinity and several other environs .
Before Kailen had the chance to even speak, the creature voiced,it’s voice regal " Puny human, leave eemy territory or face my wrath "
" It speaks" Kailen mused ,completely unfazed amidst the pressure bearing heavily on him.
" Did you just call me it?" The centaur bellowed,it’s voice threathening and hoarse.
An obsidian armor donned Kailen’s figure , pulsing with the strength of a rank 5 beginner stage ascendant lifeform. Tenebrous shadows in the vicinity responded to Kailen’s call-moving towards him with ethereal grace.
They fused with his figure ,causing him to assume a collosal obsidian form , bearing similar size to that of the towering centaur.
" Ho, how intriguing . Looks like you are not as weak as you look"
An extremely large trident materialised into centaur’s hands- it’s edges crackling wth frost.
Kailen stared at the centaur with an impassive expression, not in the least bothering to even strike a conversation with the creature, or react to its threats-an action that made the Centaur extremely pissed.
A large shadow katana materialized into Kailen’s hands , it’s obsidian blade pulsing with azure lightning.
The extremely large trident was swung by the centaur, clashing with Kailen’s swing of the large shadow katana.
Shockwaves spread towards multiple directions as a result of their clash,causing smithereens of destroyed Ice explode everywhere.
Kailen’s obsidian figure turned into a dark silhouette that clashed with katana in hand over and over again with the centaur’s ginormous trident.
The centaur was surprisingly fast for its large size, managing to counter each of Kailen’s strikes.
The two giants clashed over and over again.
Suddenly the centaur realized something was off.
" Is this human weakling copying my movements? and predicting the patterns of my attacks?"
It bellowed furiously, spinning the trident wth extremely swift ferocity and finesse.
Suddenly , Kailen widened the distance between him and the creature.
He sensed the temperature plummetting to the lowest levels as a whirlwind of ice surrounded the centaur’s figure .
The only visible part of the centaur’s figure at the moment was it’s head ,whereas every other part of its body was covered in the whirlwind of ice.
The creature muttered, stretching the trident towards Kailen.
The whirlwind of ice shot towards Kailen with frightening speed,causing every already frost covered place it span past to turn more icy , crashing ice shards into pieces.
Kailen stood,unmoving .
" I could just use Umbral replacement to catch it off guard and kill it. But let’s try something new . I feel like I’ve not been using my shadow manipulation to it it’s full capacity, only utilizing it as an armor to cover myself in battle and the recently developed use for shadow sense. I have the perfect plan in mind . Shadow manipulation at its core is to manipulate shadows into different shapes and sizes. It seems I’ve been neglecting that for a while in battle . Meanwhile utilizing it will give me an extremely great edge over my enemies"
Suddenly , the obsidian armor dissapeared from Kailen’s figure ,leaving his figure clad in a hoodie hovering in the air to view .
The centaur snarled ,thinking Kailen had given up and was about to surrender-possibly because he knew the attack of the centaur will be too much for him to take on head on and would end up killing him.
All the shadow creatures that had left Kailen’s shadow armored form materialised into a whirldwind of shadow shards with pointy edges levitating and spinning in a rotating column in the air under his control .
" Let’s add something else to the mix"
Lightning crackled in the whirlwind of shadow shards, sizzling in and around the shards with extreme intensity.
The whirlwind of shadow shards and elemental energy lightning fused with affinity lightning rotated forward with swift speed, spinning towards the the approaching whirldwind of ice.
The two whirldwinds clashed, engaged in a fight for dominance ,each refusing to give in to the other.
The centaur and Kailen watched as the clash of whirlwinds that had obliterated the entire valley into an apocalyptic setting continued.
Soon, the lighting infused shadow shards begun to dominate the ice shards as the lightning made it easier for the shadow shards in the whirlwind of shadows to pierce through the ice shards in the ice whirlwind.
Kailen clicked his finger as the lightning in the whirlwind of shadows intensified ,peircing through the centaurs whirlwind and completely obliterating it.
As quickly as that happened ,Kailen dissapeared alongside the whirlwind of shadows.
The centaur, noticing Kailen had become weaker compared to before , intended to locate him and get rid of him.
However Kailen was nowhere to be found .
He had disappeared from where he previously stood.
Kailen had used Umbral replacement quickly, knowing he was currently weaker in his state.
With the centaurs attack not working, he would try to locate Kailen and get rid of him in his weaker state.
However Kailen had outsmarted him.
Before the centaur had the chance to process what had happened- something whizzed through the air , piercing through the creature’s head from his behind to the front of his head, leaving a gaping hole present in the creature’s ginormous head ,as lightning scorched through the Centaur’s figure from head to toe- the giant shadow shard sizzling with lighting finally hovering in the air,covered with the dark blood of the centaur.
A large thump was heard as the mountainous creature crashed into the ground-lifeless , causing shockwaves to spread towards multiple directions.
