The scent of blood lingered in the air, making Satoru frown slightly. He raised his sunglasses, his Six Eyes sweeping across the Kamo family estate.
Sensing the cursed energy laced with the smell of blood, a flicker of doubt passed through his eyes.
Because Choso had withdrawn as soon as others appeared, Satoru was unaware of his true origin. He assumed the cursed energy tainted with blood came from the Kamo family itself.
Descending from the sky, Satoru landed beside Zenin Shinsuke and finally pieced together what had just taken place.
The attacker had been a Curse User who wielded Blood Manipulation.
Which meant that this Curse User was of Kamo bloodline.
Was this the sin of the Kamo family resurfacing?
The title of "the most evil sorcerer" from a hundred and fifty years ago still loomed over them, and such thoughts surfaced in the minds of both Satoru and Shinsuke.
After all, the Kamo family had a truly dark history.

People always value their own blood above others. Although they had just aided the Kamo family, upon hearing that their own family was in danger, worry for their clan was all they could think about.
Satoru was speechless at Jinichi's question.
After all, it was the Kamo family that had requested his help first. Was there anything wrong with him responding here?
Besides, both the Zenin and Kamo families had long opposed the Gojo family. The fact that he came to support them at all was already an act of righteousness. Yet now they dared to question him?

Satoru, a Gojo, had just driven off a deadly assassin. How could Jinichi have the audacity to question him now?
More importantly, the Big Three Sorcerer Families were fractured, and Tengen was in a strange, unstable state before her merger.
If they angered Satoru, was there anyone left in the jujutsu world who could stop him? Other than Special Grade sorcerer Yuki and his brother, who else could match him?
Was there anyone in the Kamo family?
Anyone in the Zenin family?
Ah, perhaps only Toji.
But unfortunately, Toji's bond with the Zenin family was far weaker than his connection to the Gojo family.

Sensing Shinsuke's sudden politeness, Satoru recalled the young man's arrogance from nine years ago.
It seemed that Satoshi's reputation across the jujutsu world had first begun with this man.
Back then, Shinsuke had looked down on both Toji and Satoshi, but after countless defeats at Satoshi's hands, his arrogance had been beaten out of him.
In the past, Shinsuke would never have addressed Satoshi so respectfully.
Satoru drifted in thought, and the tense atmosphere gradually eased throughout the Zenin clan members present. Everyone quietly let out a sigh of relief.
"That guy Satoshi? He's still in seclusion at the Gojo estate. Don't worry about him. Your Zenin family should be safe enough. After all, Toji has stepped in."
The thought of the Zenin family being saved by an outcast with no cursed energy almost amused Satoru.
No matter if it was nine years ago, now, or in the future, the Zenin family could never escape the fate of being entangled with Heavenly Restriction and curses.
He recalled information about the Zenin family. Among their younger generation, there had been a pair of twins born.
Satoru grew curious. If one of them mastered Ten Shadows while the other fully embodied Heavenly Restriction, would they become the female counterparts of himself and Satoshi?
To be honest, he very much wanted to see how those two twins would develop in the future.
