Hell Game: Starting from the Metropolis Chapter 19

The girl first showed a face of disdain, then suddenly seemed to realize something.

“Girlfriend betrays, silently sends a breakup text—extremely poisonous.”

“Why? Are you seriously still with such a scumbag?”

The girl asked in confusion.

“Breaking up is necessary, but it’s someone else’s ride now, so you have to stand up and kick hard.”

“The protagonist plans to get rich by writing web novels—super toxic.”

The girl looked even more puzzled.

“Where’s the conflict and character relationships in writing web novels? How will your plot develop later?”

Liu Zheng fired three questions rapidly.

“Seems like you’re right. So how should I get rich then?”

The girl asked for advice.

He thought for a moment before saying.

The girl was stunned.

“Just write that, guaranteed your submission will pass.”

Liu Zheng said confidently.

Even the legendary deliveryman can only be a simple tree; this market must be a blue ocean.

The girl was intimidated by his aura and had no choice but to agree.

“Can you receive the delivery now?”

Liu Zheng pointed at the delivery bag on her foot.

“Hmph. I’m going to submit my work soon. If it passes, I’ll have a gift for you. If not, you’re dead meat.”

The girl grabbed the delivery bag and turned to walk toward the bedroom.

He stood by the door, waiting until the deadline.

Liu Zheng hummed a tune as he walked to the elevator.

Back at the community entrance, the security guard was obediently stationed in the guard booth.

“Really listens to advice.”

He patted the glass of the booth, smiling brightly.

The guard looked straight ahead, ignoring him completely.

“Just fought a crazy guy in room 606, badly injured. Want to try to take the place back?”

Liu Zheng tempted him.

The guard turned his head, said nothing, but his gaze was very clear.

Who the hell are you trying to fool?

“Forget it if you don’t want to try.”

He shrugged and walked toward the Bloody Restaurant.

The guard watched his back; his black and white hair bobbed up and down, but in the end, he lowered his head.

Turning the street corner, Liu Zheng let out a long breath.

The weakness from losing attribute bonuses made him uncomfortable, but at least he was still alive.

The Legendary Deliveryman’s Vest’s effects only worked during deliveries. He had suspected the effects would disappear on the return trip, and now it was confirmed.

His harsh words to the guard earlier, including the provocation just now, were all part of Liu Zheng’s plan, not just because of his Irritable Temper condition.

“Better take a different route.”

He checked the map and chose a different path from the one he came on.

That phosphorescent light was some kind of weird thing, but for now, it seemed the residents of this world held grudges easily.

After taking the detour and spending more time, Liu Zheng returned to the Bloody Restaurant.

No Bullhorse in the break room, only a cleanly finished employee meal.

He opened his locker and sure enough, there was an employee meal and a bottle of drink inside.

“Name: Bloody Restaurant Employee Meal”

“Effect: Restores stamina.”

“Note: A family must be neat and tidy.”

“Can it be taken out of the dungeon: No”

The meal box contained an oyakodon—a chicken and egg rice bowl—with a skewer of grilled quail eggs.

“Huh, it hasn’t been touched.”

Liu Zheng was somewhat surprised.

He didn’t think Bullhorse would treat him differently.

Could it be that Bullhorse also can’t open someone else’s locker without permission?

Liu Zheng immediately thought of a possibility.

The more he thought about it, the more likely it seemed.

He stared at the yellow vest he was wearing for a while, then took it off and put it in the locker.

Liu Zheng picked up the employee meal, sat on a small stool, and began to enjoy his dinner.

The drink was just a bottle of ordinary tea. He guessed the sentient plane tree wouldn’t be interested, so he drank it himself.

After eating and drinking his fill, he leaned against the wall and rested a bit. Bullhorse came back from outside.

“Quick, quick, what did you trade with that tree?”

As soon as it came in, it asked impatiently.

“The Legendary Deliveryman’s Vest.”

“What the hell! Where’s the vest? Let me see it!”

Bullhorse’s eyes widened. ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ 𝕟𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕝✶𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖✶𝕟𝕖𝕥

“I put it in the locker.”

“Are you crazy? Why put clothes in the locker instead of wearing them?”

Bullhorse asked in confusion.

He said nothing, just gave a polite smile.

“Oh, so you figured I can’t open your locker anymore, huh?”

Bullhorse wasn’t stupid and quickly caught on.

Liu Zheng flattered him gently.

“Hmph, always using little tricks. Even if I beat you to death, I can still open your locker.”

Bullhorse said contemptuously.

“The boss is so loyal; I wouldn’t do that.”

“Loyal? When did you get the illusion that we have a good relationship?”

Bullhorse mocked as it lifted its hoof.

“I told Delago that if I don’t find it tomorrow, it’ll spread that you have a Paradise Island Double Vacation Voucher.”

Liu Zheng said calmly.

Bullhorse said confidently.

“I wouldn’t dare bluff the boss like you.”

He said with a seemingly aggrieved tone.

“So what if it’s true? Even if I Bullhorse put the vacation voucher on my forehead, who dares to take it?”

Bullhorse said proudly.

“Of course, but boss, you don’t want your remaining half horn broken too, right?”

Liu Zheng looked at the top of its head. The other injuries had healed, but only half a horn remained.

“Don’t mention my horn!”

Bullhorse suddenly flew into a rage.

He made a zipper gesture.

“Forget it, keep it for yourself. That thing only has sentimental value to me anyway.”

“Actually, I could give it to you.”

Liu Zheng added again.

“You’re that generous?”

Bullhorse squinted at him.

Since starting work, this guy had been trying to swap things like a middleman rather than a deliveryman.

“Boss takes care of me so well; it’s only right to offer tribute. Of course, a little extra subsidy would be even better.”

The item description said the Legendary Deliveryman’s Vest couldn’t be taken out of the dungeon, so rather than waste it, better to swap for something else.

“What do you want? Just so you know, I’m not as well-off as that tree.”

Bullhorse pursed his lips.

“Just pick something that makes me live a few days longer.”

“That’s a high demand.”

Bullhorse sized him up.

“You living this long is already surprising to me.”

Most people would have died after delivering to Mr. Li. The high tips weren’t so easy to get.

Green Osmanthus Garden, Crazy City wasn’t a good place either. Although it wasn’t a luxury complex, it was full of all sorts of people.

“It’s all because you’re protecting me, boss.”

Liu Zheng said respectfully.

“I can’t protect you. I really don’t have anything suitable here.”

Bullhorse shook his head.

Unlike that tree, it wasn’t a hoarder. Things either got used or exchanged.

“Just get a couple of bottles of Ascension Moss.”

“You wish. If I had some, I’d drink it myself. Last time I just got a bottle of Vlad III, and those kitchen guys nearly killed me.”

“Then no choice, I’ll take it to trade with Delago.”

Liu Zheng said regretfully.

“Boss, I have to survive.”

After staring at each other for a few minutes, Bullhorse snorted.

“No items, but I can give you a chance to make some extra money.”

After considering for a moment, it said.
