Hell Game: Starting from the Metropolis Chapter 59

In ancient times, when women married, they would invite women with harmonious families to perform threading for the bride, removing the fine hair from her face.

This was both for aesthetics and symbolized the beginning of a new life.

The staff member also respected traditions greatly, taking out a complete set of phoenix crown and ceremonial robes for Liu Zheng to change into.

They even used several thumbtacks to secure the phoenix crown because his bald head was too slippery for it to stay on.

One could say they demonstrated exceptional craftsmanship spirit.

After dressing him in the full outfit, the staff member began the service procedure.

Quick knife eye scraping, ear pick ear cleaning, hemp rope facial threading.

Liu Zheng thoroughly enjoyed all three procedures.

The staff member said gently.

All restraints automatically released, and the chair transformed back into an adjustable office chair.

"Sir, your face is absolutely perfect. We plan to use it as our corporate image display. Would you be willing to write a blessing message for us?"

The staff member produced a pen.

Only then did Liu Zheng notice a sheet of white paper placed on the tray.

Then he wrote a line in standard regular script:

"Unlucky Restaurant, I fuck your mother."

The staff member expressionlessly carried away the tray.

"By the way, can I specify which delivery person I want?"

Liu Zheng suddenly asked.

"That's not possible, sir. This isn't a maid café, you know."

The staff member said with a smile.

"Is that so? What a pity."

Leaving Unlucky Coffee, Liu Zheng returned to the office building entrance.

Everyone's gaze turned toward him again, this time not looking at his delivery box but at his face.

"What are you looking at? Never seen someone without makeup before?"

Liu Zheng said irritably.

Once again using his glare to force back these painted-face people, Liu Zheng gave the coffee to the cleaner.

"This is the coffee I promised you. And these are extra desserts I'm giving you."

When the cleaner saw the half-baked cheesecake, two red blushes immediately appeared on her painted face, and her three-white eyes transformed into starry eyes.

"This... is it appropriate?"

Her tone actually carried some hesitation.

"What's inappropriate about it? You work so hard cleaning, what's wrong with having some cake?"

"The higher-ups don't get along, but that's their business. What does that have to do with us workers, don't you think?"

Liu Zheng forced the cake into her hands.

The cleaner still seemed hesitant.

"If you don't want it, I'll take it back."

He pulled out a chew stick.

"If you try to take it by force, I'll unleash the dog."

"You wouldn't want your Three Responsibilities at the Door area to be covered in dog feces everywhere, would you?"

Liu Zheng said with a wicked smile at the corner of his mouth.

"Not that! Anything but that!"

The cleaner screamed, then shoved the cake into her mouth, chewing vigorously.

The cleaner shed tears of ink from happiness.

"Look at you, working yourself to death for the property management, can't even afford cake. What's the point?"

"How much of the money you extort from me do you actually get to keep?"

"T-two hundred." Chapters fırst released on 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡~𝔣𝔦𝔯𝔢~𝙣𝙚𝙩

"Two hundred?! That's insultingly low!"

The cleaner showed an ashamed expression.

"Yes. Last year my husband couldn't find work and got... processed by the Municipal Government. Three growing boys, all depending on me alone to support them."

The cleaner said gloomily, her starry eyes turning into downcast eyes.

Liu Zheng took out five hundred yuan and slapped it onto her chest.

"I didn't bring much money since I came out in a hurry. Use this to buy some meat for the kids, consider it an uncle's small gesture."

"How can I accept this?"

The cleaner's painted face reddened again.

Judging by the color and texture, it seemed to be dyed with some kind of flower juice.

"Take it. If you don't, you're looking down on me."

Liu Zheng said seriously.

"I wouldn't dare. Well... thank you on behalf of the children. Uncle."

The cleaner gave him a flirtatious glance.

Plop. Her eyeball fell to the ground.

Liu Zheng picked it up for her and reattached it.

Then he frowned as he looked at it for a moment.

He extended a tentacle, dipped it in some saliva, and drew two eyebrows for the cleaner.

Hmm, that looked right now.

Liu Zheng nodded in satisfaction.

"You don't need to give the security guard's share separately, I'll split half with him."

The cleaner said with lowered head.

"One thing at a time. Do I look like someone who cuts corners? Take this."

He slapped down another three hundred yuan.

"Thank you. Um... do you need a face?"

The cleaner asked shyly.

The muscle groups on Liu Zheng's face twitched violently.

After all I've done for you, you're still insulting me?

"This is a face I found. It's a bit damaged, but I cleaned it thoroughly. If you don't mind, you can use it temporarily."

The cleaner took a paper bag from her cleaning cart.

It had several gaps that looked like they were bitten by some kind of rodent.

But overall it was still intact.

"No need. My face will grow back soon enough."

Liu Zheng declined politely.

Who knew if these faces could be removed once put on.

And he wasn't lying either—the edges of his face were already growing new skin.

"Alright then, take this instead. I, I need to go."

The cleaner shoved a bottle into Liu Zheng's hands and hurried into the office building.

Through the glass door, he saw her negotiate with the security guard briefly before entering the stairwell.

Liu Zheng withdrew his gaze and looked at the bottle in his hand.

"Name: Cleaner Special Insecticide (Single Use)"

"Type: Miscellaneous Item"

"Effect: Powerful Insect Elimination"

"Note: Sweep away all harmful insects, completely invincible."

"Can be taken out of dungeon: No"

This should work well for White Feather Chicken.

The kitchen probably has plenty of mosquitoes, insects, rats, and ants.

Liu Zheng stored the insecticide and entered the office building.
