Chapter 15: Premonition
Serena dropped her phone on her bedside table as she switched off her bedroom light and tried to sleep, she tossed and turned but could not sleep, she was still thinking about Mr.Won. Serena let out a frustrated groan, she decided to think about her most cherished memories of her late parents to help her fall asleep.
Her mind drifted back to when she was 8years old, when her parents were still alive and they had taken her to an amusement park, she remembered riding on a roller coaster and how happy she was, she tried to recollect her mother’s face that has start to blur out from her memory. Serena let out a bitter smile as she finally drifted off into a deep sleep with a single tear drop cascading down her cheeks.

"Do you still want me." A deep and melancholy voice said this to her.
She turned in the direction of the voice but saw nothing but darkness.
"Do you still want me even after you had seen me like this." The same voice repeated.
This time she shivered as his words dripped with agony, each syllable a painful concession, she started walking in the cold and dark room as she searched for light so she can see around the room properly but subconsciously her legs were able to make their way around the room as if she was familiar with the room.
She continued walking on as she finally saw a blue and purple light dominating a royal throne room, the room was set in ancient setting, it made it look like she had time slipped to the past.
She looked further as she realized that the source of light was actually coming from a person that was seated on a royal throne made of black and gold, the throne was adorned with intricate gold filigree and precious gems.
"He looked surreal." She thought as she gasp when the person lifted his head to her, she finally recognized the person, this person seems to glow with a bright blue and purple light that seems to emanate from within him, illuminating the paths to her. The person does not look human, it looked like she had step into a fairy tale.
She took a step back as she looked at the person’s eyes, it seems to flicker between dark red and gold before it eventually settled on red color.
"Red eyes." She mumbled.
"Finally scared little kitten." His lips lifted to form a lazy smile, the mirth did not seem to reach his eyes.
"I told you to run away from me when you had the chance to, you wouldn’t listen. Now that you’ve seen me like this, will you leave me now?"
She turned as she could not stop herself from walking closer to him, she appeared to be in a trance as all she could think of was to reach him and touch him, there was something compelling her to get closer to him.
She took two steps bravely as she was now within arm’s-reach to him, she stretched out her hand as she touched his face, she felt the familiar spark zipped through her as she felt him stiffened under her but this time she was use to the spark as she stroked his face affectionately.
"Seeing you like this... makes me want you even more."
The person looked at her as his eyes that was once red slowly changed back to bright green color but it did not scare her as she continued stroking his face, he leaned towards her and closed his eyes as he rubbed his face in her palms.

Serena woke up with a start sweating profusely as she tried to comprehend the dream or should she call it a nightmare?
"What kind of a dream was that? She realized that the man from her dream was Mr. Won, Serena does not dream much, her grandparents always told her that most of her dreams were premonitions of things that would happen in the future or things that had already taken place that she should always take her dream seriously.
"But, why was he in her dream? Was he trying to tell her something? Serena thought.
She felt like the incident had actually happened, she was so shaken from the dream, it had been a while since she last had a dream, why was she suddenly having dreams since when she met him, Serena did not know what to think about it. She looked at her hands she used in touching his face and it was warm, she stared at it in surprise.
"If it is not a dream then what was it? And who exactly was Mr. Won? She was so eager to find that out, her every cell was telling her she was connected to him in ways she could not understand.
Serena pulled her blanket over her head to completely cover herself before pulling it back down feeling frustrated, she looked out of her room window, it was bright suggesting that it was morning, she picked up her phone to check the time "7:15."
She had overslept, she thought as she quickly removed her blanket and rushed down to her bathroom, she quickly brushed her teeth and dressed her bed before she went down to greet her grandparents, they were already ready for church as it was Sunday morning.
Serena was a devoted catholic and has never missed a sermon but today she was running late.
She asked her grandparents to go on without her as she was already so late, she had her breakfast went up to her room to shower, as she quickly dressed up and went out to go to church.
....
All through the church sermons Serena could not concentrate as her mind was elsewhere, when the sermon came to an end she quickly went back home as she had plans with Kathy today, she had promised to come after church service.
She waited for her until she saw Kathy pulling over her car in her parking lot from her room window, she went downstairs to welcome her friend.
"I see you had driven your car today."
Serena guided her inside the house.
