After the leader said this, he received a punch to the face.
He couldn’t help wincing at the pain that came from this punch since that fist hit him much harder than he had been expecting.
This was one of his subordinates, so he naturally knew how strong he was and he clearly had never been this strong.
It was as if this person had suddenly gotten stronger after disappearing.
Seeing that he wouldn’t stop, the others had no choice but to attack this person as well. They had to take him down just to stop him from doing anything to them, though they didn’t seem like they were planning to kill him.
It seemed person had a connection to whoever was keeping them here since he had been able to open the door.
If they wanted to escape, they needed him to open the door.
Only it didn’t seem like there was any reaction from this person no matter what they did.
Seeing that they couldn’t hold him down, they started punching him in hopes that he would stop from the pain. Only it didn’t seem like he even reacted to the fact that they were punching him.
It really seemed like he was completely numb to anything that was happening around him.
"What is wrong with him? Did he lose all sensation in his body?"
"Look at his eyes, it even seems like it’s gone glassy. It’s almost as if he’s not conscious at all."
"Then does that mean that there’s something controlling him?"
They all couldn’t help feeling that there was something strange about this person, but there wasn’t anything that they could do about it. In the first place, these people were all just thugs that worked as bandits.
There was no way that any of them would know anything as complicated as medicine, let alone magic.
So the only thing that they could think of was...
"Hold him down! Just use strength and weight to hold him down! Throw every body that we have at him!"
The leader was the one that said this while being pummeled by this person.
Though it seemed like he was slowly adapting to the speed that this person had and was slowly becoming capable of dodging his attacks.
The others looked at each other as if they were hesitating, but then they followed his orders.
It wasn’t that they had loyalty to their leader, it was just that they knew that there was no way out of this place if they didn’t stop this person. He was the only one that could open the door that was keeping them in after all.
But in the end, it really didn’t seem like they were able to do anything.
Even though they stopped him temporarily, it seemed that this only provoked him to fight even harder.
It reached a point where...
"Hey stop it, you’re hurting yourself!"
"What is wrong with you?"
"Do we let him go? At this rate, he’ll die..."
When the person being pressed down by everyone continued to struggle, they found that there were rips that were appearing on his body. It was as if he was ripping himself apart just to break free from their restraints.
They couldn’t help staring at him in shock as they couldn’t believe that this person would do something just to break free. But at the same time, they looked at him with looks of horror as they couldn’t believe that he didn’t seem to react at all.
Even though he was ripping his body apart in such a painful manner, it seemed like he just wasn’t reacting at all to these rips that were appearing on his body.
It seemed like the only thing that was on his mind was breaking free of these restraints.
"What are you doing? Get off him!" The leader suddenly shouted when he came back to his senses.
Even though they stopped using force against this person, they still had been pressing down on him with their body weight which stopped him from moving. As such, he had continued ripping his body apart as he tried to break free.
"Stop pushing me and let me get up!"
Since they had piled on him , it created a messy pile where they all got in each other’s way and it was hard for them to get up.
By the time that they were able to get up, they found that the person that they restrained was already in terrible shape. It was as if he was about to fall apart at any moment with how there were tears all over his body.
They just couldn’t believe what they were seeing since even though his body was torn apart , he was still trying to reach the leader.
But in the end, he wasn’t able to reach the leader as he collapsed on the ground.
The tears in his body were too deep that his body wasn’t able to hold together anymore and fell apart all on its own. But even after it fell apart and landed on the ground, it didn’t seem like there was anything that would stop them.
"Just what are you?" They all couldn’t help asking when they saw the rotten flesh that made up his body.
His skin had hid it before, but it turned out that there was only rotten flesh that was underneath the skin. It seemed that he had already died a long time ago and was just nothing more than a living corpse.
"Kill you! How dare you abandon me!"
Those were the first words that he said and it came from his severed head.
Everyone couldn’t help taking a step back when they saw this.
It really was terrifying seeing this severed head talking to them ...
"You people really are cruel. That was a companion of yours and you turned him into this. It seems like there’s no love lost between you at all."
