At the end of the day, all of the assistants had shocked looks on their faces when they came to report.
I didn't even need to look at the reports or hear what the results were to know how much I had made.
After all, it was more than enough by seeing the people that had gone in and out of the mall during the day.
With how many customers we had, it was impossible for us not to earn a large profit.
In this world, there was one class that was usually overlooked by most people.
It was the class that most people didn't really know existed since in their minds, there were only two classes in the first place. There were only nobles and commoners, those two class divides.
But among commoners, there were also divides.
There were those that were poor, there were those that were rich, and there were those that were in the middle class.
The middle class was the one that I had targeted with this mall.
It wasn't as if the middle class had no money at all, they had more money than most people had in this world since this world was made up of a lot of people that were serfs.
That was just how it was when it came to a medieval fantasy world.
This mall was designed in a way that the middle class would be able to show off in front of those that were poorer than them. It was similar to how malls were designed with luxury brand stores in my past life.
It allowed those that weren't that rich to still show off their wealth to a certain extent.
Even if they were middle classed, they still wanted to show off even if it was only a little bit.
That was why these luxury stores perfectly fit the desires of those from the middle class.
For those that were in the lower class, they had cheap stores to shop from.
For those that were rich, they had the VIP entrance which would bring special items to them.
In short, there was a place for everyone in this mall.
So with how many people it catered, it was impossible not to earn money.
With all of these items on display at once, it even inspired them to spend even more money than usual.
After all, people only bought things that they thought of. So with all of these items in front of them, it was only natural that one or two of them would bring out their desire to spend money.
Instead of letting them continue with the reports, I just simply said with a wave of my hand, "Go and prepare the things that are needed for tomorrow. You can be sure that people will be envious of our success and will try to make a few moves. Don't give them a single opening."
All of them revealed determined looks when they heard this before heading off.
However, there were two people that didn't leave.
One of them was the same driver that had been following me around.
The other was a man who sat in the corner of the room as if he wasn't a part of this.
Only when I sent everyone else off did they come over.
The driver just handed me a sheet of paper before saying, "Young master, should we make our move now?"
I didn't even look at the sheet of paper that he handed me before giving a nod of agreement.
Instead, I turned to look at the man that had been silent the entire time.
This was a man that had a forgettable face, a face that would blend right into the crowd. That was why he had been able to sit there in the corner and be ignored by everyone .
It was also because he had this face that he was the head of my special task force.
This was a special group that did things that couldn't be done in the open.
They were a group that took care of special things that no one else could do.
Right now, I needed them for something.
"All of our people are prepared to move at any moment. As long as the young master gives the word, then we can head out immediately."
I gave a nod before saying, "I've actually changed my mind. I'll be coming with you."
The leader of the special task force looked surprised to hear this before turning to the driver to ask, "Father, will you be coming along as well?"
With a smile, the driver asked, "Do you want your father to still teach you how it's done? You're already a leader of your own group and you still need me to teach you?"
The leader of the special task force wasn't thrown off by these words.
Instead, he just looked back at the driver with a provocative smile as he said, "I just wanted to show you how it's really done. Now that you've retired, it's my turn to show you that your generation has passed."
It didn't take long for the two of them to seem like they wanted to compete with each other.
But I stopped them by interrupting them with a cough.
When they heard this, the two of them calmed down and returned to their original positions.
The driver was the one that spoke first by saying, "Young master, may I ask for a bit of leave? I'm planning on having a bit of fun as well."
Shaking my head, I said, "Not until I give you the signal. Until then, you can't do what you want to do. After all, there's no telling what we'll need to get from them first."
The driver seemed a bit disappointed, but he nodded like he understood in the end.
After all, he knew what we were doing all of this for.
As such, he knew that his interests wouldn't come before the interests of the company.
Still, it wouldn't be bad to let them have a bit of fun.
I had to admit that I was interested in which one of them was stronger.
