Based on these voices that rang out throughout the town, it was clear that the exploration of the sand vortex was not going well.
Though there were plenty of people that came to search the sand vortex, there was something at the bottom that just stopped them from finding what they wanted.
At the same time, this thing seemed to be quite dangerous as there were many people that were being attacked.
But during all of this, I just confidently walked through all of this.
I knew that the sand worms wouldn't attack me since Faust had already given them the order not to attack me.
The one thing that I had to do was find my targets before they found out what the source of the wave of mana was.

It was Iron Head's gang who had made it past everyone else since they were the ones that were the most familiar with this place. But since they were ahead, it meant that they were completely isolated from the others.
This made it easier for me to do what I had to do.
I raised my hand and put it down on the ground.
It didn't seem like I was doing anything at first, but then there was a reaction that came from under the ground. It didn't take long for a few sand worm heads to appear around me.
The way that they waited was as if they were waiting for orders from me.
Since we shared stats and minds, I naturally had a method for controlling the sand worms as well.
That was why I was able to summon these sand worms without a problem.
Once the sand worms appeared, I didn't say a single thing to them.
Instead with my hand still on the ground, I started releasing mana waves to give them orders.
That was how I had summoned them in the first place.
As soon as the sand worms received the orders through the mana waves, they didn't waste any time as they dug under the ground and started heading in the direction of Iron Head's group.
They thought that they were completely safe since this was a spot that was hidden from the sand worms. The buildings that had collapsed around this area should have provided the perfect blind spot for them to hide and do what they needed to do.
That was why when they were attacked by the sand worms, they were even more caught off guard than they usually would have been.
"Where did these things come from?"
"The buildings should have blocked them from noticing us!"
"Damn! Every man for themselves!"
Once they were swarmed by the sand worms, they didn't even think about fighting.
The only thing that they cared about was getting out of here as soon as possible.
The sand worms chased after them, but it seemed that most of the sand worms were going for one person in particular.
"Damn it! What have I done to provoke these sand worms?" Iron Head couldn't help cursing under his breath when he saw how these sand worms were chasing him.
None of his subordinates came over to help even though he looked in their direction to glare at them.
In fact, most of them had already cleared out by the time that he glared at them.
So even if he wanted to get them to help, they were already long gone from this place.
The only thing that Iron Head could do was try to find a way out of this place.
It was a good thing that he knew the layout of this place better than anyone and could use the buildings to stop the sand worms. Even if the sand worms had sharp teeth that could cut through hard materials, they still needed time to cut through the collapsed buildings.
That was the advantage that Iron Head was using to stay away from them.
But then he found that he was actually trapped by them.
He didn't know where these sand worms came from, but there were some that had wrapped around in front of him. It seemed like they had done this on purpose just so they could lead him into this trap.
"Just where did they gain this ability to cooperate ?" Iron Head cursed once more under his breath when he saw the sand worms working together .
But even if he cursed them, there was nothing that he could do about it since he was trapped.
The only thing to do now was find a way out of this place.
"I guess I have to go all out." Iron Head muttered under his breath before pulling out his weapons.
Iron Head used a strange weapon, it was a chakram for throwing and slicing.
Definitely not what one would expect from someone that had this kind of name.
When the sand worms approached, he quickly slashed out with the chakrams to keep them at bay.
But before his chakrams could reach the sand worms, there was this kind of shockwave that hit them. The moment that the shockwave ran through the chakrams, they instantly shattered apart.
A look of shock was on Iron Head's face when he saw them, but there was nothing that he could do as the sand worms swarmed him.
