Elder Arun narrowed his eyes to look at me even more, but he eventually gave in when he saw the stern look on my face. He could tell that he wasn't going to convince me, so he would just go along with what I wanted.
After all, it would be safer if he came with me.
The place that I wanted to go was the study of the baron.
Once we were there, I didn't waste any time looking for things in this place.
With my mana sense, I was able to find the hidden spots in this study with ease.
When Elder Arun looked at me with a questioning look, the excuse that I gave was that I had done things in the past during my mercenary days.
He still looked at me with one brow raised after hearing this, but he didn't ask too many questions in the end since he respected my privacy in this matter.
After these places had been found, I didn't waste any time looking over the documents that were hidden. However, I was disappointed by what I saw since none of them had the information that I wanted.
The only information that was on these documents was the records of his finances in the slave trade.

I was disappointed, but I continued searching the hidden spots that held documents.
