When the goblins started noticing that something was off, there were more shots that were suddenly fired at them. None of them were able to resist at all as these shots of acid pierced right through their heads and they dropped to the ground.
The goblins seemed to panic when they saw this as if they knew that something was happening, but it didn't seem like they knew exactly what was happening with the way that they were looking around for the culprit.
A few more of these goblins fell down on the ground all of a sudden.
It was at this moment that the goblins realized something.
It was all of the goblins that were nearest the captive kobolds that had suddenly gone down .
Did this mean that whoever it was that was shooting them was here to save the kobolds?
The moment that the goblins realized that the kobolds were the ones that the shooter cared about, they made the decision to go catch the kobolds again.
But the moment that they tried to approach the kobold, there was this shot that came from the sky that landed in front of them.
This shot would have been more than enough to finish off a goblin if it hit them, but this shot landed on the ground in front of the goblin. Even the goblins with their decreased intelligence were able to tell what this was.
This was a warning shot for them to stay away from the kobolds.
The goblins just didn't know what to do when they saw this warning shot land on the ground in front of them.
After a moment of silence, the goblins turned to run.
With their primal intelligence, they were able to tell that they weren't a match for the thing that was shooting at them and they would all die if they were to remain here.
So instead of remaining in this place, it was better for them to leave as soon as possible.
Before they could get far, there was a cry of pain from one of the goblins before a goblin head flew through the air.
But this time, it wasn't a hole that was created in the head of a goblin.
This time, it was a head that was completely severed from the body of the goblin.
This head spun several times in the air before falling to the ground.
All of the goblins froze when they saw this and they couldn't help unconsciously tremble in fear.
That was because the one that had cut off the head of the goblin was a creature that instinctively drove fear into the hearts of the goblins.
After a goblin grew enough, they would have a chance to evolve into a hobgoblin. From there, they would be able to become a goblin shaman, a goblin lord, or even a goblin general.
But this thing was beyond just a normal higher evolution goblin.
