The thing that I had found was a hole in the cage.
It wasn’t that big of a hole, but it was big enough for me to exit the cage.
I didn’t waste any time going through that hole, but I also made sure to release a wall of flames to block up that hole.
However, I knew that this wouldn’t be enough to stop the corpses from following me.
It was just enough that it would stall them long enough to do what I wanted to do.
I quickly headed off in a certain direction and in no time at all, I reached the thing that I wanted to reach. But even then, I didn’t slow down as I ran right past this thing without a single trace of hesitation.
Though I did wave my hand at it before running past it.
I continued to run forward until I was on the completely opposite side of the cage.
From this vantage point, I looked down to look for something else.
The moment that I found it, I didn’t waste any time in running in that direction.
Though I heard this sound, I didn’t turn back as I was focused on the thing that I had found. I knew that this sound was the sound of the blood corpses breaking through the net that I had put over the hole.
That meant that I had even less time to finish my plan.
Once I was where I wanted to be, I took a deep breath and jumped off the cage without any hesitation.
The cage itself wasn’t that big to begin with, so there was no problem for me to jump down. Though I did use a bit of wind magic to make sure that the fall wasn’t as fast as it would have been.
Once I landed, I raised my hand at the bridge that was in front of me and released a ball of flames.
Only the flames that I released were far stronger than anything that I had released before.
This wasn’t just a normal fireball.
After leaving my hand, the fireball suddenly became longer until it took the form of a spear.
This was a Fire Lance, an Intermediate Grade Spell.
This Fire Lance pierced right through the bridge that connected to the cage and the arena. It split the bridge that I was standing on from the rest of the structure.
However, it wasn’t as if this alone would be enough to bring this whole thing down.
There were two other explosions that suddenly rang out.
One of them came from the other side of the room. This was the bridge that was on the other side of the room, the one that I had seen when I first entered the cage, though I had come from inside of a tunnel that the bridge was connected to.
The other explosion came from above the cage.
This was the thing that I had run past when I ran to the other side of the cage.
This was a thing that connected the cage to the room and had been holding it up the entire time.
As soon as these two explosions appeared, the entire cage and arena started to fall.
These two things along with the bridge that I had destroyed with the Flame Lance were the things that had been holding the entire structure up. The moment that they were destroyed, it was only natural that this entire structure would begin to fall.
At the same time, since the entire structure was above a large pit, it began falling down into the darkness that was below.
It seemed that there was nothing that could stop it as it started falling down.
The bloody corpses that were running on top of the cage could tell what was happening, so that was why they started running as fast as they could. It seemed like they wanted to make it over to where I was standing as quickly as possible.
It was just that the entire structure was falling too fast for them to make it.
I just watched as the entire thing fell, I just watched as the bloody corpses came closer and closer.
However, they just weren’t able to reach me.
In the end, all of them fell down into the abyss with the large cage structure.
There were some of the bloody corpses that tried to jump as a last attempt, but they just simply could not jump far enough. I watched as they reached their hands out towards the bridge that I was standing on, but there wasn’t a single one of them that was able to reach it.
In the end, all of them fell down into the darkness and disappeared without a trace.
It seemed that the pit in this place was quite deep that they were able to fall that far.
I thought that some of them would even cling to the walls of the room and try to climb back up, but they all disappeared into the darkness.
With the way that they fell, it was as if this was some kind of bottomless pit.
But I didn’t move on as I just stood there waiting for something.
"You have passed the first trial."
It was only when I heard this that I turned around and started heading to the passage in front of me.
Though I could hear the complicated tone that was in the voice that said this.
This was the same voice of the former Demon King Balcor, but it no longer had the same arrogance and confidence as before. It was almost as if he didn’t know what to say to this.
After all, this clearly wasn’t the way that one was supposed to pass this trial.
One was supposed to fight their way through all the bloody corpses until they reached the end.
They weren’t just supposed to drop them into the pit .
