It was a very simple room that was waiting for me.

This was an item that seemed to be some kind of disc and nothing else.
From a distance, it didn’t seem disc was made of any special materials. It really seemed like nothing more than an ordinary disc that was made from glass.
But a smile appeared on my face the moment that I saw this.
After all, this was the item that I had been looking for.
This was the second hero’s relic.
The official name for this item was the Sacred Shell.
Though this item wasn’t named because of its appearance, it was named because of the ability that it possessed.
"Now I’ll have a proper defensive item to go along with the hero’s sword. This balances out the offensive abilities that the sword gives me." I said to myself as I walked towards the pedestal.
Then looking at the disc, I couldn’t help wondering to myself, "I wonder what grade this thing will have."
That was the part of the trial that was dependent on performance.
Depending on how high the score was, the grade of Sacred Shell would change. If one’s score was low enough, then they wouldn’t have the chance to reach this sacred shell.
If the score was low, they would fail the trial on the spot and would be sent out of the trial by the special mechanism that was here.
Only, I naturally didn’t have this problem.
My only worry was whether the grade of the Sacred Shell would be higher than the ones that I’ve seen before.
The one that held the world record had a Sacred Shell that was at epic grade.
As for the legendary grade Sacred Shell, no one had seen that before. There was no one in the world that could even imagine how high one would need to score to get something like that.
Only everyone knew that it existed since the Sacred Shell could be upgraded to that level later in the game.
Since it could be upgraded later in the game, that meant that there was the possibility of it reaching that level from this trial. Or at least that was what some of the players believed to be true.
This was further backed up by someone that had cracked into the database to find that the data for the legendary grade Sacred Shell was recorded in this trial.
The only thing was that no one had ever been able to get that legendary grade Sacred Shell from this place.
So over time, it became a myth since no one could guess how high one’s score had to be to even get it.
But the moment that I looked closely at the Sacred Shell, a smile appeared on my face.
I had been the one to do it.

The moment that this description appeared in front of me, there was a wide smile that appeared on my face.
After all, I had been able to prove the legend that everyone online had never been able to come close to.
"So it was true, you could really get it. Only how did they expect anyone to even come close to this level of performance? After all, I could only do it with this busted character that I’ve become. There’s no way that this kind of character could be created in the game, right?"
The last part of this was me wondering if it actually was possible.
After all, it wasn’t as if everyone had discovered everything that was possible in the game.
So there was the chance that it might have been possible...
After thinking about this for a moment, I tossed that thought out of my mind.
After all, it didn’t matter if it was true or not since I was no longer in that world. Even if I thought about it, it wasn’t as if I would be able to do anything about it.
Even if I wanted to prove that this legend was true, I wasn’t even able to do it since I had no connection to the internet.
In that case, all that mattered now was taking this Sacred Shell for myself.

"What is going on? Why did it suddenly become dark?"
Before I could grab the Sacred Shell, there was this darkness that appeared all around me. It was a kind of darkness that didn’t seem to block everything, but it did make it hard to see what was around me.
It was strong enough that even this small room seemed to be blocked.
At the same time, it felt like there was something that was trying to attack my brain.
It was almost as if there was something that was trying to drill into my brain.
"Ha, ha, ha, I never thought that someone would actually make it here. It seems that waiting for that long was finally worth it."
I couldn’t help slightly knitting my brows when I heard this, but this wasn’t because I was worried about the darkness that surrounded me or the sensation that was in my brain.
It was all because I was surprised to hear this voice.
As far as I was concerned, there shouldn’t be anyone that was in this place or attached to the Sacred Shell. Or at least that was how it was when this world was still a game.
However, there was one thing that was different about this situation compared to anything that had happened in the game.
It was the fact that this Sacred Shell was a legendary grade one rather than an epic grade one.
That meant that something must have changed because the grade had been upgraded.
"Is it a hidden quest?" I couldn’t help muttering to myself.
