Heroines, I'm Really not the Devourer Chapter 66

Chapter 66: True... Maybe I should have held back more..

"So, ancestor... what would you do if some nobody damaged your property?"

Minshen raised an eyebrow, amused.

"Property? What do you mean?"

She didn’t respond immediately.

"It’s the least I could do..."

With a single step, she vanished.

Before anyone could understand what was happening, she appeared in front of Guan Heng.

*Boom!*

Her fist slammed violently into the Patriarch’s abdomen, sending him flying hundreds of meters away. The impact unleashed a wave of energy that cracked the seabed, sending shards of coral stone flying.

"Protect the Patriarch and the young master!" shouted a Kraken guard.

But Sijin paid no heed. She simply stomped her foot, and the resulting shockwave pulverized the guards within a several-meter radius, cracking buildings for hundreds of kilometers.

Her gaze fixed once more on Guan Heng, who was already gathering a colossal mass of aquatic Qi in his hand.

She moved.

Her body left behind undulating afterimages.

She dodged effortlessly.

*Slash!*

A stinging slap tore a cry of pain from him.

Then, without hesitation, her hand gripped his face.

She ripped out his eye with a sharp jerk.

Blood spread through the water in dark spirals.

"It’s the least I could do... to make you suffer for me."

"Aaaahhhh! You bitch!" Guan Heng roared, his scream of rage and pain echoing through the depths.

In an explosion of Qi, he violently pushed Sijin away, but she simply leaped back, dodging the destructive wave.

In the distance, a familiar sound resonated.

The war drums.

The Kraken army was approaching.

Sijin sighed.

She was no longer interested in continuing the fight.

But before leaving, her gaze fell on Yushen.

With a single step, she stood before him.

Her foot slammed into his legs.

*Crack!*

Bones exploded under the impact, reducing his limbs to bloody pulp.

Only an extremely talented healer could help him now. Even the best elixirs would make no difference. He was no different from a cripple, even if his spiritual sea hadn’t been destroyed.

A light laugh rose behind her.

"Hmm... Ruthless." said Minshen.

Sijin turned to him.

"Ancestor, let’s go."

He shrugged.

"Alright."

Without another word, he raised a hand and opened a portal.

A black tear stretched before them.

With a single step, they disappeared.

The moment they crossed the portal, a storm of energy erupted behind them.

Guan Heng, mad with rage, unleashed all his Qi, as his reinforcements arrived on the scene.

But it was too late.

Hu Sijin was already gone.

The fifth province of the Cloud Dynasty was a place where the heavens seemed to touch the earth. Snow-capped mountains dominated the horizon, while vast plains stretched as far as the eye could see. It was the most remote area of the capital. And with more mortals than cultivators.

In an ancient temple, hidden in the heart of a bamboo forest, Sun Wukong was recovering from his injury. He had a deep, villainous gash on his chest, and though he wore a nonchalant air, he couldn’t hide the severity of the wounds he had sustained. Sitting on a large stone, he watched Yuying, a young woman with refined features and piercing eyes, preparing a medicinal decoction.

An environment very unluxurious and shocking compared to her title.

"Tell me, Yuying... Do you know anything about this BaiShe?" he asked in a slightly raspy voice.

Yuying raised an eyebrow, surprised by the question. "BaiShe?" she repeated, grinding herbs in a mortar. "You mean the heir of the ancestral Hu family?"

"So it’s him..." Sun Wukong sighed, recalling the fight. "This guy appeared out of nowhere, he had an aura... different yet very similar... He provoked me, and we fought like madmen. I’ve never felt such pressure before. He was powerful, far too powerful for his apparent level..."

"Do you think he might be a Qilin? The lineage at least?"

Yuying set down her mortar and crossed her arms. "His aura... It’s impossible for a Qilin to attack the Dynasty.

Sun Wukong nodded. "His energy was baffling. It was only after the fight that I learned he was the heir of the Hu family. And if he were a descendant of the Yellow Qilin?"

She was momentarily surprised but easily dismissed her thoughts.

"All of them were exterminated, prince."

"True... Maybe I should have held back more..."

A silence fell, as the wind made the bamboo leaves dance. Wukong closed his eyes for a moment and let himself be carried away by his memories.

Debris flew in all directions as the clash of weapons echoed through the valley. Sun Wukong faced Qing Long, a formidable fighter with destructive power, taking pleasure in this battle against the arrogant bastard. Their duel was fierce, each strike of the divine staff meeting a wave of electric energy capable of twisting mountains.

As he prepared to deliver a fatal blow, a flash of light illuminated the battlefield. A figure suddenly appeared, pulling Qing Long aside and blocking his attack with disconcerting ease.

This man’s hair shone with pure silver, emitting a golden glow under the setting sun. His eyes were entirely golden, devoid of emotion, and his impassive expression revealed no hostility, nor any fear. He stood there, as if nothing in the world could shake him.

Qing Long, who until now had shown no sign of weakness, seemed slightly surprised. He narrowed his eyes, looking at him intently before speaking.

"Huh? What’s this-"

The man didn’t avert his gaze. He remained frozen, his expression unshakable.

"I’ve come for you," he finally replied, looking at Sun Wukong.

The latter felt a wave of irritation rise within him. "Who are you? You dare interrupt our fight?" He spun his staff in a fluid, threatening gesture.

But something was off. This stranger didn’t possess the aura of an ordinary sage. His energy was much weaker.

Sun Wukong clenched his teeth. He was certain of one thing: this man was not from the realm of sages. Yet, he had managed to block his attacks with insulting ease. And now, with Qing Long by his side, it became clear that the fight was taking an unfavorable turn.

Qing Long, however, seemed to have made his decision. "There’s no point in continuing," he declared, standing up. "This fight will bring us nothing good."

Wukong looked at him with contempt. "Tch. You want to run, is that it?"
