Michelle Scott passed her interview at Apex Law Firm and officially joins Apex as a salaried lawyer today.
Coincidentally, Claire Yorick also resigned from Senco Law Firm to join Talia’s firm, so Talia arranged for Claire to be Michelle’s assistant.
The two girls are both cheerful and outgoing, and they get along very well.

After hanging up, Samuel Langdon knocked on the door and walked in. "Lawyer Rhodes, about what my aunt said to you yesterday, I’ve thought it over and feel I should apologize."
Talia raised an eyebrow, "It’s okay, I know she was joking, I didn’t take it to heart."
"How about this," Samuel Langdon adjusted his glasses and said, "I’ll treat you to a meal as an apology on behalf of my aunt."
Talia smiled, "There’s really no need, why be so formal with me?"
Samuel Langdon looked at Talia for a moment, touched his nose and said, "Alright then."
"Oh, by the way." Talia took out two thick, heavy manila case files, "We got a few new cases today, these two cases are in your area of expertise."
Samuel Langdon accepted the case files, smiling, "New cases already, as expected, Lawyer Rhodes sticks to her word, working with you won’t mean going hungry."
"Is your goal as low as just not going hungry, Lawyer Langdon?" Talia laughed, "Open it and take a look."
Samuel Langdon opened the case files.

"Thanks." Samuel Langdon put away the case materials.
After work, Talia tidied up her desk and went to the nearby café for the appointment.
Talia pushed open the glass door and entered the café, spotting a man in black clothes and a baseball cap in an inconspicuous corner who was the private investigator.
Talia walked over and sat across from the man. "Hello, Mr. Palmer."
The private investigator’s last name was Palmer, his name was Mark Palmer.
"Hello, Miss Rhodes."
After greeting, Mark Palmer looked down in his backpack to find something.
"Miss, these are the photos I’ve taken recently of the interactions between Ethan Grant and Selina Hughes." The private investigator handed over a manila envelope.
Talia opened the envelope and looked through the photos.
Seeing Selina Hughes and Ethan Grant together in the photos, Talia curled her lips and sneered, "Just as expected."
"Also, here’s a recording of their meeting last night." The private investigator opened his cellphone, "I’ll send it to you."
Receiving the audio, Talia put on her headphones and clicked play.
"Do you want to use my hand to get rid of Talia? You know Vincent Fletcher said he would kill her if we report to the police, and yet you asked me to hurry and report!" This was Ethan Grant’s voice.

In the study, Adrian Jennings sat in the chair behind the desk, while Luke Langdon stood in front of the desk reporting.
"Young master, these are the results of the investigation you ordered on Miss Hughes last time." Luke Langdon placed the laptop facing Adrian Jennings on the desk.
Adrian Jennings looked through the materials, his face gradually darkening.
