Daisy Ginger slowly swallowed the beef in her mouth and said softly, "I have no other man besides you. I promise you."
Edward Stephens leaned back in his chair, for some reason, a mocking cold smile appeared on his face.
"It better be." He said blandly, "Otherwise, I have ways to make you regret it."
Daisy heard this and, for some reason, seemed a bit happy.
She slowly wiped her hand and then gestured for him.
Edward glanced at her impatiently, "What is it?"
Daisy hopped over on one leg and squeezed into the sofa chair with Edward.
She hugged his arm and said softly, "I don’t want any other man. You’re my favorite."
Edward lowered his gaze to look at her, Daisy tilted her head back, then looked at him and brightly smiled.
Edward originally had a stern face, but in the end, he pulled her into his arms, letting her sit on his lap.
"Hmm?" She looked up at him.
"No matter what happens, don’t betray me." His deep voice sounded in her ear.
"Otherwise, I won’t let you off easy."
Daisy couldn’t help but laugh.
"If one day I betray you, you can punish me in any way." She held him, resting her face on his chest, listening to his heartbeat, feeling her own heart subtly aching. The painkiller’s effect was fading, she loved him so much, but her heart couldn’t take it anymore.
Before the painkiller’s effect wore off, Daisy returned to her original spot and finished the dinner with Edward.
