Hold On Mr.! Your Sweetheart is a Real Queen Chapter 264

It was just another typical winter evening after work for Daisy Ginger.

Except for the moment when Edward Stephens was driving her home, distractedly glancing at the crowd while passing through the traffic lights, and almost hitting a pedestrian, Daisy didn’t notice anything unusual.

He was always a careful driver, and this was the first time Edward had lost focus while driving. Daisy cast a surprised look at the man, but seeing his calm demeanor and no hint of anything amiss, she didn’t pay any further mind to the small mishap.

After dinner together, Daisy went into the study to continue her unfinished work. When she entered the bedroom, yawning, she found that Edward was not in the room.

Surprised, she asked the servant cleaning downstairs and learned that Edward had abruptly driven out after she entered the study.

He rarely went out, so Daisy didn’t worry. She sent him a text message and went to sleep after washing up.

The night was very deep.

On the sidewalk that was bustling after work, only a few streetlights lit up small patches of brilliance, and in the areas beyond the reach of the streetlights, someone was vomiting against the wall.

Nearby was a small bar, from which sound waves seeped out through the poorly soundproofed door, with laughter and teasing of men and women reaching the ears.

Edward Stephens walked with a stern face, passed a small puddle, and entered a narrow alley where drunken men and women were entangled. Seeing him enter, they hurriedly pushed away from each other, as if he hadn’t seen them, swiftly walking past. Fresh chapters posted on 𝗇𝗈𝗏𝖾𝗅•𝖿𝗂𝗋𝖾•𝗇𝖾𝗍

"In such a rush to die! Screw you!"

The woman ran away in shame, while the thug, his fun interrupted, cursed angrily.

Edward turned a blind eye to everything around him until the sounds of people and music faded away. At the deepest part of the alley, stood a short-haired woman, bathed in silver moonlight resembling a hazy mist, her figure somewhat unclear.

The man stared intently at the woman in front of him, his gaze gradually becoming cold, halting his steps three meters away.

The woman slowly turned around, revealing a delicate and beautiful face. Perhaps due to not seeing the light for a long time, her complexion held a fragile hint of pallor.

"Long time no see, Second Young Master." She smiled faintly at him, seemingly adopting his habits, her voice carrying a soft gentleness.

"What are you doing here?" Edward frowned, coldly staring at the woman before him. He spoke curtly, not in the tone of a friend reunited after a long absence, "This isn’t a place you should be, so get back to the United States!"

"I missed you, came to see you." The woman walked forward slowly. She was nearly a head shorter than him and stood in front of him, tilting up her pale, beautiful face, smiling as she tilted her head, "Is that not okay?"

Edward looked at her with a bit of distaste, "Get lost, don’t try to butter me up."

The woman lowered her eyes, slowly taking a step back, and said softly, "I didn’t expect the Second Young Master to get married to a stranger in this city."

"That has nothing to do with you." Edward cut her off, "Get back, I don’t want to continue seeing you in Banyan City."

The final few words, suppressing anger, carried a faintly threatening undertone.

"Does the Second Young Master plan to stay in Banyan City indefinitely?" The woman tilted her head at him, her fine short hair brushing against her pale skin, making her appear like a lifeless doll.

The people around that person were all , manipulated, akin to dummies.

Edward glanced elsewhere, feeling a bit nauseated: "I have nothing to do with the Stephens family anymore."

The woman lowered her head, she seemed used to doing this, and from Edward’s angle, he could only see the back of her head.

"Although the Second Young Master doesn’t think of Charlotte anymore, Charlotte still misses the Second Young Master very much," she said softly, "For the best of the Second Young Master, Charlotte feels that the Second Young Master should, as soon as possible, divorce that lady."
