Suddenly, from the darkness to the left, a round grenade was thrown, its surface rough and mottled with grayish-brown patterns - a type of high-explosive grenade developed by private military contractors, capable of demolishing a small building. The grenade tumbled through the air, cutting a straight and swift arc towards Bai Xiao.
"Spiked Star Grenade, fall back, don’t get caught in the blast!"
The Biological Mecha Master who threw the grenade yelled out a warning.
Instantly, five figures retreated with lightning speed. Their robust Biological Armor leaned backward at a blur-like sharp angle to the ground.
The youth with a scarred face kept his gaze fixed in the direction the grenade had been thrown from.
The grenade exploded on the spot, turning into a swelling red fireball.
But, astonishingly, a black and red hand marked with bulging veins caught the Spiked Star Grenade mid-air, fingers closing together to squeeze and forcibly burst it. The explosion’s force was entirely contained within the palm, with occasional terrifying sparks squirting between the fingers, trailing a meter-long tongue of fire in the air.
With the fingers exerting force once more, squeezing again, the explosion was completely snuffed out.
That huge hand in mid-air was undamaged, with only white steam rising from its surface along with a hint of the pungent smell of gunpowder.
"Do you really enjoy playing with children’s toys that much?"
Under the moonlight, a cold and terrifying visage emerged, its eyes dark and deep.
He leaped forward lightly, and the ground trembled violently; the very house seemed on the verge of collapse, plaster dust falling in torrents. A monstrous and overbearing silhouette sprang forth at a speed beyond the imagination of ordinary people.
Outside the house, under the moonlight, on the sandy beach.
A lithe and dragon-like black figure appeared in a flash in front of the Biological Mecha Master who had just thrown the grenade, trailing layers of violent winds behind him.
The Biological Mecha Master’s pupils shrank, raising his arms subconsciously.
A thunderous roar echoed over the dimly lit beach.
The other four saw something resembling two cylindrical objects spinning out from their teammate’s position, scattering some warm liquid around. Upon closer inspection, they realized those were two strong arms violently severed, the cross-sections a grisly mess covered by the dense casing of armor.
Attention was sharply focused.
Under the dim moonlight, on the beach.
A massive figure slowly raised its arm, its marble pillar-like limb impaling the limp body of a corpse like skewered candied hawthorn.
This Biological Mecha Master had his chest blown open, pierced straight through. Heart, ribs, internal organs - all were shattered. Only a thin layer of skin connected the outer circumference, barely forming what could be considered a chest cavity.
With a slightly larger wound, the body would have been torn in two.
Bai Xiao swung his arm, and a cloud of blood mist exploded in the air.
He turned his head and gazed at the four individuals still alive on the beach, their rough and sturdy faces appearing like terrifying statues in the night.
In the squad, a bald muscular man roared. He picked up the heavy machine gun that was ready on the beach but unused, hefting it directly. This wasn’t something meant to be moved and used by humans; it was supposed to be mounted on a helicopter as a fixed Vulcan cannon. But now, it was being carried by Armor.
The six rotating barrels aimed at Bai Xiao, spinning rapidly, spitting out flames like snakes.
Countless large-caliber bullets poured out at high speed; had it been tracers visible in the dark, one would clearly see a winding waterfall trail of bullets. The barrage that could instantly shred rhinos and elephants submerged Bai Xiao!
"Ding ding ding ding ding!"
On the beach, a distinct human-shaped fire outline appeared amidst the barrage of bullets. He stood immovable like an iron tower, feet rooted to the ground. Slowly turning, he faced the bald muscular man who was shooting.

A punch was thrown, blasting the Vulcan cannon, shattering it into a skyful of metal shards. Amidst the shower of debris, a hand-shaped blade sliced down from the side.
It landed heavily on the left shoulder of the bald muscular man’s Biological Armor.
A blurred trail of evaporating blood streaked through the air.
On the beach, the figure of a robust and tall Biological Armor stood rigid like a marionette. A straight bloodline burst open on its chest, and the upper body was split cleanly in two, the gaping breach stretching from the left shoulder to the right waist, the person cut into halves. The upper body slid off, spilling out gory innards.
Bai Xiao stood in front of the corpse, which was left standing with only its lower half.
A muffled laugh, as if a demon from hell whispered a death knell.
He lifted his head and looked towards the remaining three Biological Armors fleeing in panic, slowly taking steps that turned into the velocity of cannonball fire in an instant.
"Run all you want, but you cannot escape the fate of death!"
In the blink of an eye, a figure, with the swiftness of a shooting star, caught up to one of the black Biological Armors. That squad member, in extreme terror, flailed their powerful arms, the embedded green, sharp blades wildly slashing without rhyme or reason as they let out a desperate scream. That was the last act of bravado, the bravado of the weak when facing a natural predator!
