The monitor displayed a series of chemical formulas and genetic codes. At the center of it all was an artifact: a pulsating, crimson stone encased in glass.
"It's in the core lab," Clara said. "If we destroy it, we destroy him."
The lights flickered, and a low, guttural laugh filled the room.
"You've come far, Damien Rook," a voice boomed.
Damien turned, gripping his machete. "Show yourself!"

"Then let's end the game," Damien shot back.
