After 30 minutes....
"I guess this is it~ we can't go Anh further with this~" Shizuka said as the car finally ran out of fuel and she started preparing to go outside
Luckily now there isn't much distance between her best Friend's house, so at best they will need to walk another 30 minutes in order to reach that place
Everyone grabbed their weapons in order to get prepared just in case zombies Attack Them, Meanwhile, Kaneki looking at them was impressed by Rei and Saya
Like Saeko who has had a katana since her childhood because she has been training in swordsmanship which is the reason she could use her katana so skillfully
Meanwhile, Shizuka has self-defence Items that she could use pretty easily but she did so skillfully in such a situation which also somewhat surprised him as he was also glad
But unlike Shizuka and Saeko, the other 2 don't have any real weapons nor do he think they have any training even then they are doing pretty good
And now they don't seem to think much about killing those things which is a good thing Otherwise it would be hard for them to survive in their current condition
Everyone got out of the Car while feeling somehow nervous since unlike in the car, they didn't feel safe at all in this environment where human-eating monsters Roamed Around
"Let go," Saeko said while she tightly held her katana While she started to move and others also started to walk
Luckily right now roads look safe but they can't be certain when or where zombies will pop out
...
15 minutes later...
"How has the world changed much in such a short amount of time..." Rei said this in a low tone since she couldn't help but think how a few hours ago she was studying in her class like a normal student and now she is fighting For Her life
Everyone was quiet since none of them knew the answer to that question, the only thing they knew was to survive at this moment
"A car is coming" Kaneki suddenly said this as unlike most normal People, he has very sharp hearing as he could hear it
"Really?" Rei asked this in a somewhat happy tone since she thought they could help them and she wasn't the only one who thought that all others were thinking a similar thing
"Dont be too happy, we can't be sure whether they will help us or not," Saya said as she didnt let Rei's hopes get too high
Right now isn't their peaceful daily life world rather it is the zombie apocalypse, so she does not have that much hope that someone will actually help them especially after she already got betrayed once today
"Saya is right," Saeko said as she also agreed with Saya's statement since it was too early to trust anyone in this situation
"Can you tell me if those people have bad intentions?" Rei asked this looking towards Kaneki because she doesn't think of him as human at all
She thinks Kaneki can do everything that humans can't which is the reason she also thought that he was able to do this
"How could I tell?" he asked this like he was stating an obvious fact even though his face was in a usual expression but somehow other teammates had a feeling that he was staring at her like he was looking at an idiot
"Haha....you are right there is no way someone can do that" Rei awkwardly laughed as she said this as she felt how stupid she might look in his eyes
'But it is his fault for doing outrageous things in front of normal humans like me in the first place' Rei inwardly said this as she couldn't dare to say it out loud since she thought He would get upset with her
Even though Shizuka already told Rei and others that Kaneki is a good person, Rei still doesn't wanna test her words at all
"Then what should we do?" Rei asked this in some confusion as she worried that People who were coming their way were bad
"Let's wait and check for ourselves," Saeko said this since if they have bad intentions then she will show no mercy like these zombies
"I agree with her" Saya replied as she thought that if they had bad intentions then it was dangerous for those people, not them because Kaneki is plenty to give them a nightmare
Shizuka did not say anything as she was focused on walking forward with the same air-headed expression on her face
Even though she might have looked airheaded but she was listening to their conversation and she didn't care much if the people coming were bad or good
She believes Kaneki will protect her in any circumstance, which is why she is soo carefree Even in A time like these
Lastly, Kaneki wasn't too focused on those people as he didn't expect to get help, especially remembering what happened to him in the past
Kaneki was rather curious about those wounds on those zombies which he had seen earlier in Rei's house because Kaneki had seen almost all weapons in existence but no blade weapon could make those clean slashes as on those zombies
He just hoped whatever that is, won't get in their way not because he was scared but rather because it would put them, especially her (Shizuka) in harm's way
