The reporters immediately asked:
“Yeah, Young Master Olsen, we came here today for this matter, so stop promoting your family business!”
“Master Olsen, are you infertile?”
“Is Miss Davis’s child yours?”
Each question tightened Ellis’s jaw as he looked towards Mary Davis.
After a moment, he finally spoke, “Yes, the result of my medical exam confirmed infertility, but I’ve been receiving treatment recently. As for the child… of course, it’s mine. My wife and I have always been in love; please don’t believe the rumors.”
After finishing his statement, he walked over to Mary and grabbed her arm.
Mary looked at him.
After a moment, she pursed her lips and walked with him in front of the reporters.
Mary knew that, as Ellis Olsen’s wife, she should present a united front publicly, always looking perfect.
She had seen wealthy couples manage their public appearance like this throughout her life.
No matter how intense the arguments at home, they always appeared close and loving in public.
Just like her great-uncle Ken Davis, who also had affairs, even her great-aunt did; they reached the point of nearly physically fighting at home.
But when they heard reporters were coming, they would instantly transform into a loving couple.

Mary approached the reporters with a fitting smile alongside Ellis.
Ellis turned to her, bent down, and touched her head, “My wife and I get along very well, not like the rumors suggest. I hope everyone avoids spreading misinformation and doesn’t focus too much on our personal lives. Our focus should be on company strategies.”
This statement made the reporters look at him skeptically.
Someone directly said, “Young Master Olsen, you’re infertile, so how could the child be yours?”
“Some time ago, we heard there was a scandal involving Miss Mary. Are you truly in love?”
Ellis casually replied, “Truly in love, the scandal is just fabricated. I believe you all heard Mr. Gill clear up the matter.”
Unable to get more information from him, someone turned their questions towards Mary:
“Miss Mary, do you truly like Young Master Olsen? Is your marriage a strategic alliance? We know that these wealthy families have their issues… you married him for your family, right?”
Ellis’s eyebrows furrowed, about to speak, but Mary cut him off, “I married him, it was an alliance.”
The reporters were stunned.
Everyone looked astonished at Mary.
Ellis’s face darkened.
But just when everybody thought they had caught their slip, Mary spoke again: “But also because I love him.”
Everyone paused.
Ellis was also taken aback.
They all stared at Mary, who now wore a smile.
That smile, for some reason, seemed a bit sad. She slowly looked toward the reporters below and then back to Ellis, and continued, “I’ve loved him since I was 18.”
“I remember that summer, when I was impulsive and angered some people I shouldn’t have. That day after school, when they cornered me in the alley wanting to beat me, Ellis Olsen stepped in front of me.”
Back then, Ellis had a lollipop in his mouth, leaning lazily there with a game console in his hand, looking at those gang girls and spoke slowly, “You’re too noisy, all of you shut up.”
Then he casually glanced over them and calmly stated, “Don’t make me hit you.”
He leaned against the wall as the sunset light from afar bathed him in a warm glow.
Even now, Ellis’s image was deeply entrenched in Mary’s memory.
Mary earnestly continued, “From that day, that bold and reckless boy, who seemed like a little devil in others’ eyes, lived in my heart.”
“I know everyone misunderstands him, thinking he is the troublesome Young Master of the Olsen family, but in my heart, he’s always been that brave young man.”
“Over the years, Ellis really hasn’t changed.”
Mary didn’t look at Ellis as she spoke, but her words left him slightly stunned.

Mary looked back at Ellis upon hearing this, then suddenly smiled, “It is his.”
Ellis clenched his jaw and didn’t respond.

“It’s clearly written in the medical report that he is infertile, Miss Davis, are you lying without checking the report?”

As Ellis listened to these accusations, his face darkened, about to say something, when Mary spoke out, “I have a way to prove this child is Young Master’s.”
Ellis was shocked, suddenly having a bad feeling.
