"This is insane!" Naruto, just waking up, threw the Kunai in his hand onto the ground, looking furious and powerless. "As Kurama said, life really is a trash game!"
Sasuke, expressionless, got up from the ground, ignoring Naruto’s outburst. He turned to survey the surroundings.
It was a somewhat ruined place, probably indoors, though there was no furniture in sight. Instead, it resembled a building model exhibition hall, but the things inside were all real.
Sasuke bent down and touched the wild grass on the ground, speaking up. "This doesn’t seem like the era of Grandpa Hagoromo. Although the buildings are already ruined, their style is similar to those of the Land of Thunder and the Land of Water. Grandpa Hagoromo’s time didn’t have buildings ."
Right, he had already accepted that he had traveled through time again.
Naruto picked up the Kunai from the ground, looking helpless. "Grandpa Hagoromo said that the power of the dragon vein, combined with space-time ninjutsu, is what lets you travel through time. I haven’t learned the Flying Thunder God technique yet. Does this mean we can’t go back?"

"Dragon vein energy?" Sasuke furrowed his brow, a bad feeling flashing through his mind. "The person who traveled with us seems to be after the power of the dragon vein. The dragon vein shouldn’t have this kind of power after being sealed. This means we’re most likely in the era before the dragon vein was sealed."
"This is troublesome," Naruto pouted, looking around. All he could see were walls, and there was almost no way out.
Without thinking, both of them looked up at the sky. There was a skylight in the ceiling, and light was coming through it into the room.
"Looks like we can only get out through there," Sasuke said, then turned to Naruto. "Is Kurama still asleep?"
"Yeah," Naruto nodded. "I feel like Kurama is almost dead asleep. I just hope he leaves me some chakra as a legacy before he dies."
Sasuke rolled his eyes.
They really are a loving family.
Just then, a strange presence suddenly appeared in their senses. As they instinctively turned to look, a red-haired girl walked in, accompanied by the opening of a wall.
A door appeared on the wall, and the girl stood in the doorway.
The moment she entered the room, she saw Naruto and Sasuke, freezing in place with a confused expression as she looked at them. "Who are you? How did you get here?"
Naruto and Sasuke exchanged a glance, confirming that the girl didn’t have chakra and wasn’t a ninja.
They relaxed their guard. Naruto flashed a bright smile.
"Hello, I’m Uzumaki Naruto, and this is Uchiha Sasuke. We’re ninjas from Konohagakure, and we were transported here by space-time ninjutsu for some reason. Could you tell us where we are?"
While speaking, Naruto took out his forehead protector, which he hadn’t worn in three years, and showed it to the girl.
The girl furrowed her brows and instinctively took a step back, moving outside the door.
"This is Roran. If you’re ninjas from Konohagakure, show your mission scrolls or identification. A forehead protector doesn’t mean much."
The girl subtly placed her hand on the other side of the door while speaking.
Sasuke noticed her movement, but he didn’t step forward to stop her. Instead, with a hint of caution, he activated his Sharingan. "We don’t have a mission scroll or identification, but I’m from the Uchiha clan of Konohagakure. This Sharingan can prove it."
The Sharingan is a special eye technique that only members of the Uchiha clan can awaken. It is known that, in the ninja world, no one else except the Uchiha clan possesses the Sharingan.
At this thought, the girl quietly sighed with relief. However, she didn’t completely let her guard down; she just stopped showing suspicion on the surface.
A smile appeared on her face, and she gracefully bowed to the two of them.
"I’m really sorry. Recently, there have been some issues in Roran, and we’ve already sought help from both the Sand Village and Konohagakure. Since a team of Konohagakure ninjas has already arrived, when I saw you two, I thought you might be bad people."
This statement seemed to reveal a lot of information, but it was actually a test. After speaking, the girl started to observe their reactions.
Sure enough, both of them showed a strange expression, looking surprised about the arrival of other Konohagakure ninjas. However, there was no fear or panic on their faces. Instead, after the surprise, a hint of joy appeared, meaning that these two weren’t afraid of meeting Konohagakure ninjas. In fact, they seemed to look forward to it.
From this simple reaction, it was clear that they couldn’t be enemies of Konohagakure. Since Roran, which was on friendly terms with Konohagakure, wasn’t their enemy, the girl relaxed a bit.
Naruto spoke up, a little impatient. "Can you take us to meet them?"
"Of course," the girl smiled and nodded.
"But I’d like you to put away your weapons first. After all, your identities haven’t been fully confirmed yet."
Ninjas who leave the village without a mission scroll are either Anbu, who don’t need to provide mission details to anyone except the Hokage, or rogue ninjas.
The girl judged that these two weren’t rogue ninjas, but they likely weren’t Anbu either. For safety’s sake, she still needed them to put away their weapons.
Naruto awkwardly glanced at the kunai in his hand, put it away, and explained, "Well, it just doesn’t feel right unless I break something when I’m feeling emotional. I don’t intend to attack anyone."
The girl gave an awkward but polite smile.
Sasuke sighed helplessly. "Sorry about that."
"No need to apologize," the girl shook her head. "By the way, my name is Sara, Princess of Roran."
Naruto and Sasuke froze for a moment, looking at Sara with confusion.
Princess of Roran? So, this is before Roran was destroyed?
Great, we never studied Roran’s history. What was going on here before?
While they were thinking this, Kurama suddenly opened his eyes inside their minds, wearing a sickly smile. "Saozi-nee... Hehehe~ I heard Saozi-nee’s voice~"
