As a result of wandering around the Fantasia Gallery for so long, Claudia became increasingly afraid that the storyline of the original novel would change. She is still curious about what other conspiracy theories could put Davina’s life at risk right now. Claudia continued to bite her lip while looking at the digital clock on the car dashboard, showing that it was already 8 pm.
Even though it wasn’t midnight yet, Claudia was worried that Davina would think stupidly beforehand. After a moment she gave Harry a short message that she had suddenly changed her plans.
"Please, Davina. "Don’t do anything stupid yet," Claudia hissed.
"This is all because Vivian was blocking us earlier," said Sarah curtly.
"We have no right to blaspheme her, Sarah. Besides, Vivian has nothing to do with Davina’s case."
"But, still–"
"You just need to focus on driving."
Arriving at the elite campus specifically for conglomerate families, Claudia no longer looked elegant when she got out of the car. Act like a rescue team running up the campus stairs in heels, not caring if their heels will get scuffed again. Because her friend’s safety is number one for her.
The atmosphere on campus is very quiet. Claudia asked Sarah to split up to look for Davina around campus. Claudia can already guess what Davina is doing right now. Therefore, she was also on guard to contact the rescue team to help her if Davina intended to jump from the roof.
When she almost reached the roof, Claudia could barely keep her balance because her heels were bleeding. However, she still did not give up, exerting all her strength to reach the roof.
Enthusiastically opening the roof door, her eyes immediately focused on the figure of Davina who was staring at the sky with a blank gaze. Running as fast as she could towards her friend who almost did something stupid.
"What are you doing, Davina?!" Her scream made Davina startled.
"Claudia, what are you doing here?"
Claudia’s eyes grew teary looking at Davina’s battered face. Her breath was very short imagining the chronology of Davina being oppressed by three bastard men at once. Maybe she would die on the spot if she fought men who were bigger than her.
Claudia immediately pulled Davina’s body away from the edge of the roof. With all her strength she pushed Davina’s body with an angry expression. "Are you crazy? Are you going to jump off the roof?!"
Davina also had an eagle’s gaze. "Why are you interfering in my affairs? Even though my plan almost succeeded!"
"You don’t think about the people closest to you who will be sad about losing you? Including me?"
"I can’t stand a life full of torture. My parents really demanded that I continue my medical education even though I didn’t really want to. Then, I was always bullied outside of class because I was always getting in their way. Even though I acted as myself. Why doesn’t anyone defend me?" Davina sobbed, her body crouched slowly.
"Me and all members of the Scarlet Community still support you! Why don’t you consider us? Then, you also have Arabella, the only friend you know best. "If Arabella finds out you want to end your life, I’m sure she will be sad too."
"But, I don’t want to bother Arabella. I don’t want my life to continue to depend on it. There’s still her family business to take care of."
Claudia rolled her eyes. "Anyway, I don’t want to see you acting stupid again. You won’t solve your problems if you just jump off the roof. You actually make the people you love hurt."
Davina continued to shake her head while massaging her temples in pain. She took a recording device, then turned on the recording device.
"Davina, is it that hard for you not to obey my orders?" Fletcher snapped.
"You’re so useless in class. You shouldn’t be worthy of medical school. You care more about reputation than giving in to weaklings." Smith continued laughing like a psychopath.
"I really didn’t mean to get in your way!" Davina argued firmly.
"Then why don’t you ever give in to us? Is it because your family are palace doctors that the lecturers always look down on you?" Smith raised his voice.
"We will not take your life with our own hands. But, you should just give up and leave this world. We are so sick of seeing your face!" Bailey threatened.
Hearing the recording briefly made Claudia clench her fists tightly. This time she really hoped that Harry would use a murder method that was sadistic enough so that the three people would suffer the same as Davina did.
"They’re rude!"
"They are really outrageous. After smashing my face to a pulp, they weren’t satisfied. They want me to disappear from this life."
Even though Claudia was carried away by anger, she tried to show Davina a confident smile. "You don’t need to be afraid anymore. "Now Harry and I are planning something to take down the perpetrator who tried to kill you."
Davina raised her right eyebrow. "Harry? Even though my relationship with him is not as close as Dahlia’s relationship with him. Why does he suddenly want to get involved too?"
"Even though Harry looks professional and a perfectionist in everyone’s eyes, when it comes to people’s lives, he really hates it when good people lose to bad people."
