Claudia really kept her promise to accompany Alice to her residence. Even though this residence was no less luxurious than her residence, Claudia saw that the entire house was very spacious for Alice who lived alone. During this time, Alice lived alone because both of her parents died. Meanwhile, the company was managed by her and her uncle. Therefore, seeing Claudia sincerely protecting her made Alice not have the heart to imagine that she had been so cruel all this time, always shouting at Claudia.
Alice is still traumatized by the events she has experienced. She continued to sit staring at the living room sofa while waiting for Claudia to cook dinner for the three of them.
"By the way Claudia, you don't have to bother cooking dinner for me."
"It doesn't matter. Besides, Sarah and I haven't had dinner since yesterday." For a moment, Claudia turned off the stove, then walked towards the dining room carrying a large tray containing three plates of fried rice. "Dinner is ready. You can eat now, Alice."
Alice slowly got up, then walked towards the dining room accompanied by Sarah.
Sarah's eyes widened as she stared at the dinner her master was cooking that looked perfect in her eyes, even though she had not tasted it. In fact, while she worked as Claudia's personal assistant and household assistant, she never saw Claudia take the initiative to learn to cook.
Meanwhile Alice didn't mince words anymore. She immediately tasted a spoonful of fried rice with gusto because her stomach had been raging since she was at the bar. The first time she tasted her friend's cooking, which was very satisfying on her tongue, made her eyes start to tear up.
"It tastes very delicious," praised Alice softly.
"Thank God if you like my cooking, it's still not comparable to your top chef."
"By the way, since when are you good at cooking?" Sarah asked, looking at her employer suspiciously.
In fact, Sarah's question made Alice frown. "Have you never tasted her cooking? You are her assistant."
Sarah shook her head nervously. "In fact, I've never seen Claudia take the initiative to learn to cook."
Claudia looked down embarrassedly while pushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "Actually, I learned to cook secretly, sometimes in the middle of the night. Because I know I will get married, I have to be able to cook to make my husband happy."
Alice chuckled while shaking her head. "I'm actually jealous that you could marry Harry."
"Haven't you always been badmouthing him all this time? Why are you suddenly jealous?"
"Actually, I once praised Harry too much in front of Kael, but he actually told me strange rumors about Harry. "He was the one who said that Harry was a cruel man who liked to hunt innocent people at night." For a moment, Alice exhaled roughly. "I don't know if he could say that because he was an eyewitness or he was instigated by someone so that everyone would hate Harry."
Alice felt her stomach start to get angry again if she didn't finish a large portion of fried rice. However, there was one important thing he had not conveyed. For a moment he stopped his greedy actions, her right hand wiped his slightly oily lips with a handkerchief.
"Do you know why I suddenly sided with Harry again? He's just like you, Claudia. "Actually, this afternoon he contacted me."
Claudia's facial expression, which initially looked relaxed, now showed wrinkles on her forehead when she heard her husband's name and suddenly contacted another woman without her knowledge. "Why did he contact you?"
"Don't be jealous and accuse me of being his mistress, OK? I don't know why he took the initiative to contact me because he was worried about my situation."
"Worried you? Suddenly like this?"
Alice shrugged. "I don't know, what is certain is that his words are not much different from yours. I don't even know where he got my information from. He just warned me not to approach Kael."
"So, is there anything else he said?"
"No. He contacted me in no time."
For some reason, Claudia was finding it increasingly difficult to understand Harry's thoughts. Is Alice's information on Harry's computer intended to protect Alice someday? So, how could Harry know that Alice's life would be in danger?
