Especially with Loki and Kurapika present, the three Shadow Beasts looked grim. They had boasted about defeating them earlier; now, one of their number was dead—a slap in the face.
"Worm’s dead," Porcupine said coldly.
Rabid Dog glared at Uvogin. "So what? Let’s go!"
Rabid Dog and Porcupine charged at Uvogin.
Uvogin laughed. "Good. I haven’t gotten serious yet. Don’t disappoint me!"
He punched at Porcupine. Porcupine smirked. "Useless."
Countless hairs sprouted from his body, wrapping around Uvogin’s fist, even piercing his skin, and binding him.
Uvogin missed his punch; he hadn’t expected Porcupine to control his body hair.
Rip! Rabid Dog tore more flesh from Uvogin’s shoulder.
Uvogin looked at Porcupine. "Fine, I’ll use you as a fist!" He threw Porcupine at Rabid Dog. Porcupine’s hair softened, absorbing the blow’s force. It had no effect on Rabid Dog.
The battle continued. On the cliff, Feitan watched Loki and Kurapika.
"Strange. They aren’t fighting," Feitan said.
Nobunaga looked at him. "What’s strange? They’re probably like us—confident in their strength. They don’t care if their companions die."
Feitan disagreed. "Even with absolute confidence, they wouldn’t be indifferent to their companions’ deaths."
"They weren’t surprised by the Super Destruction Fist, and they’re unfazed by their companion’s death. Even if they’re like us, they’re too calm," Feitan said.
Nobunaga shrugged. "Feitan, you’re too suspicious. Even if they’re strong, they’re no match for Uvogin."
Uvogin broke Rabid Dog’s leg. "Annoying! Stop moving!" Uvogin had hidden a Nen-imbued stone; it broke Rabid Dog’s leg. Rabid Dog’s speed dropped, and he didn’t dare approach Uvogin.
Seeing Rabid Dog retreat, Uvogin looked at Leech, who also stepped back. He wasn’t a fighter.
Uvogin looked at Loki and Kurapika. "They won’t attack. You two, aren’t you going to fight?"
Kurapika moved to attack, but Loki stepped forward first. "I’ll handle him. Get ready."
Kurapika, controlling his emotions, calmed down and didn’t move.
Seeing a kid step forward, Uvogin frowned. "Kid? Have you mastered Nen? If not, run. You won’t have time."
Rabid Dog, Leech, and Porcupine didn’t think a kid would be strong. Learning Nen at his age was impressive, but he probably hadn’t mastered Nen techniques or developed his abilities.
"He’s crazy!" Basho said, looking through his binoculars at Loki. Loki wasn’t using his abilities; his Nen was surging, lifting his white cloak. His hair moved in the wind.
"Heh! Interesting kid," Uvogin said, laughing. A kid daring to fight him was impressive. "I don’t need to prepare. Come on! If you can hurt me..." Find the newest release on novèlfire.net
Bang! Uvogin felt something like steel hit his right cheek.
Dong dong dong! He stumbled back several steps, feeling a burning pain. He stared at Loki. ’What happened? I was attacked! By who? This kid? When did he move?’
He stared at Loki, dumbfounded. Rabid Dog and Leech were also stunned. Loki’s figure seemed to flicker, and then Uvogin was thrown back.
Rabid Dog rubbed his eyes. "What happened?" He looked at Leech, who was still stunned.
Kurapika’s eyes flashed. ’Loki’s speed is incredible.’
The Phantom Troupe members’ eyes widened. They were no longer relaxed.
Shizuku adjusted her glasses. "Did you see that? Nobunaga, Feitan, and the others were silent.
Machi said coldly, "The kid attacked Uvogin with unbelievable speed."
"It’s true. I thought I was seeing things," Shizuku said, nodding. That speed was impossible to catch if you weren’t prepared. No one expected a kid to be that fast.
Nobunaga’s eyes narrowed. "Uvogin’s in trouble. This kid’s speed is incredible—faster than the others."
Nobunaga analyzed. "But Uvogin’s an Enhancement type. He hasn’t used his full power. If he does, the kid won’t hurt him."
Feitan said, "This kid is surprisingly fast." But it wasn’t a big deal to him.
"Uvogin, the kid attacked you. Be careful!" Nobunaga shouted.
Uvogin, still wondering if it was Loki, said, "I know! Don’t interfere. This is fun."
He increased his Nen output, doubling his previous strength.
"Even if you hit me, you won’t hurt me," Uvogin said, touching his swollen cheek.
Loki chuckled, slowly raising his head. "Not hurt? Don’t boast too soon."
Boom! Loki’s Nen surged, like flames, making his cloak billow.
Uvogin grinned, raising his left hand. "That punch was nothing. I’ll show you a real attack."
Boom! Nen surged, impacting the surroundings. The ground sank where Uvogin stood. He shot forward like an arrow, punching at Loki.
Loki punched back. Their Nen erupted simultaneously.
Basho and the others watched from afar.
"Crazy! Loki’s crazy! He’s attacking an Enhancement type head-on! Is he suicidal?!"
"He’s abandoning his abilities to fight head-on. What’s he thinking?"
They couldn’t understand Loki’s actions.
