I held out my hand for Henry and Kyle to stop. I wanted to hear what was going on before we stormed inside. I quietly approached the door trying my best not to make a sound.
"Manager Michael Damson what on earth is going in here at your restaurant?" I heard Gateicks voice from inside. "I never imagined I’d be in for a surprise today."
His tone sounded quite passive-aggressive.
I took out my phone opened the recording app and put it by the door. Perhaps, I could use whatever he was saying as potential evidence.
"Now look at the mess we’re in," he continued. "Imagine I’m talking to you— what’s your name again?" he asked.
"Megan," he repeated.
"I’m talking to you nicely Megan I think were about to have a good time and then you surprise me with all this stuff under your uniform," he said. I then heard of some objects being slammed on a table.
So Megan had tried to carry out the plan on her own and was then found out.
"So you thought you were going to get evidence of me with all this stuff under your uniform?" he asked.
There was no answer only silence.
"My question is who were were going to present it to!?" He yelled at her. "The police?" He asked as he began to laugh. " Did you really think that would work? Are you stupid?"
Again his words were met with no answer.
"Sweetheart I’ve been doing this for years why don’t you think I’ve ever been convicted of anything?" he asked.
"Don’t you dare touch her like that!" I heard Mike’s voice from inside as well. Confirming that manager, Mike and Megan were all inside the office.
"Shut up!" Gatwick yelled at Mike I assumed. "And then you come in barging on my fun like sn idiot.
"What do you think this is a bar? Did you think you were going to be some hero?" he asked. "This restaurant is mine I do whatever I want and none of you can object to it."
I looked down at my phone to check I the recording. It was still ongoing. I could definitely use this as evidence.
"As I was telling you Megan even if you showed the police whatever you were hoping to record today, nothing would happen." Gatwick told her. "How do think I’ve kept all the other female employees from speaking out in the past?"
Another moment of silence ensued. Before I heard a clicking sound. Like someone was clicking their tongue.
"Manager Damson, what did I tell you about this?" Gatwick continued. "Did I not tell you to teach your staff to get in line or it’s you who will suffer the consequences?"
"—You did, sir," I heard the manager reply in a fearful tone.
"So what is all this then!? Explain to me why the hell your employees would try something like this?!"
Gatwick had connections in the police? No wonder he threatened anyone who tried to challenge him because he thought he held so much power. Running the restaurant like his own personal playground.
"All three of you are fired. And don’t even think I will hesitate to sue you to hell and back if you try to tell anyone about what transpired here today." Gatwick warned them."Can’t have employees who don’t know how to follow simple instructions. All you had to do was mind your business and let me run my course."
My lips pressed together as I processed Gatwicks words. What a disgusting man.
I turned to Henry and Kyle. "Can you go in there and hold him down? Keep him in one place until the CEO arrives?" I asked.
The two then opened the door and stormed in.
"What’s this?" I heard Gatwick ask in confusion. With my phone still recording I then walked in as well.
Inside I found Gatwick who was standing behind the manager’s desk. The manager, Megan and Mike were all made to seat on the guest seats facing the desk. There were two security guards holding Megan, Mike and the manager.
They all turned to face us and as we entered.
"Jasmine," I heard Megan, Mike and the manager say in unison.
The Mike and Kyle went past the the security guards holding out badges fir them to see. They then grabbed Gatwick.
"What the hell is going on? Let me go!" Gatwick struggled.
"Hello, Mr Gatwick," I greeted him.
"Who are you?" Gatwick asked me as he turned his attention to me.his eyes narrowed as they studied my face. "No I know you. Didn’t I have you fired? What the hell are you doing here?" he asked me.
"And why aren’t you security guards stopping these two get them off me!" he yelled as he struggled against Kyle and Henry. The security guards didn’t step forward, however, they remained where they stood. They had obviously seen their IDs and knew they could do anything about the situation.
"They are the CEOs personal bodyguards," I told Gatwick. "The CEO is on his way right now."
Gatwick froze up and a look of horror appeared on his face.
"You’re bluffing how would you be in contact with him?" he asked me skeptically.
"Oh am I?" I asked him as I rolled my eyes.
"You think he’ll believe you?" he scoffed. " I’ve been doing this for years sweetheart and not once have I been caught. The CEO is a little child and will believe me"
"Not unless I can prove it," I told him as I then showed him my phone screen which was still recording everything.
The smug expression fell from his face. His eyes widened in horror at the realization I had evidence I could use against him.
"Who are you, really?" he could only bring himself to ask me in the end.
"You’re worst nightmare," I told him as my own smug smile appeared on my face.
"You fucking bitch no wonder someone wanted you gone," he said to me.
My eyes widened at that. Someone wanted me gone? He then fought against Henry and Kyle’s grip and unfortunately managed to loosen himself from their grip. He then lunged toward me.
I flinched ans closed my eyes as he was going to attack me.
Suddenly I heard him cry out. With nothing touching my person, I slowly opened my eyes and found someone holding Gatwicks arm stopping him from attacking me.
"Louis," I said his name in surprise.
