Now, to the Party Hall
“ufufu, looks like things went very well.”
Returning to Lizbeth’s room, we were subjected to a lot of teasing from Maya who had been waiting there.
“……….you can tell?”
“Of course I can. You two, can’t seem to stop smiling to yourselves you know?”
“”!?!?””
Both me and Lizbeth hid our mouths in a fluster.
Ugh, was it really showing on our faces that much………?
“I mean, it’s fine. That aside……….congratulations. As a personal attendant to both of you, I’m genuinely happy.”
“Th-thanks………”
“To think a day would come where I’d get to hear words like these from your mouth………”
“You two!? Aren’t you just being a bit too mean now!?!”
Seeing both me and Lizbeth look astonished at her genuine attempt at congratulating us, Maya angrily complained.
But, it most certainly was far from her usual self and that was fact.
“Haah……..fine, whatever.”
“Ahaha, don’t fret too much over it. That aside, while we were away, did anyone else come here?”
“Yes. For Lady Lizbeth, Young lord Wilhelm himself came, and then there was also an attendant sent by Prince Robin as well.”
“……….Shameless fools.”
With a grim expression, Lizbeth spat out those words.
But, seriously, can these two both stop trying to stick to my fiancée already?
“And also..”
“There’s more!?”
“For Prince Rudolf, there was a messenger from Queen Alicia as well.”
“!? I see……..”
A messenger from Queen Alicia for me? Which means…….
“Lady Lizbeth, forgive me but, we’ll be changing our plans a little.”
“What seems to be the matter………?”
“I think, Queen Alicia probably wants to talk to me about that thing that we discussed during the Robin incident.”

Yes………When Robin tried to sneak into Lizbeth’s room at night, I made three wishes to Queen Alicia to resolve the situation. This was one of them.
Using the backing of the Fahlcrantz family as bait, I wished to make an alliance with Fredrik.
Just like Robin, Fredrik had also returned to the Imperial palace to attend the new year’s eve party.
Especially for Fredrik, to come out on top in the succession war, he needed to continually strengthen the bonds with the various nobles in his faction, as well as try and pull others from other factions to his own as well. And the party was the perfect place for that kind of business.
That’s why, to get me to meet him as well, Queen Alicia probably sent a messenger asking for me.
Well, I imagine that she probably never even expected that the fourth prince would skip the party in the first place though.
“That’s the situation so, I’ll head out to meet Queen Alicia………no, Brother Fredrik now.”
Saying hat to Lizbeth, I turned around to head to my room, when.
“In that case, I will come with you as well.”
“Lady Lizbeth too!?”
N-no, but, to start getting ready and dressed up from now will take a lot of time, and the party might be already over by then.
Realistically, I don’t think we’ll make it in time but…….
“There’s no need to worry about that. I figured something like that might happen so I have already completed all the preparations for Lady Lizbeth’s attire beforehand.”

Maya gave a respectful bow, as Lizbeth nodded looking satisfied.
“Prince Rudolf, it is as you heard, hence, please allow me to accompany you. Or perhaps……would me being by your side be a…..hindrance…….?”
Her moist upturned Aquamarine eyes gazed directly at me intently.
Man, I just can’t refuse that, can I?
“O-of course not, but………well, the party hall will have both Wilhelm and Robin as well. Will you be alright……..?”
“Yes. My main priority will always be to be together with my beloved Prince Rudolf, first and foremost, at all times after all.”
Lizbeth put a hand on her chest and smiled sweetly.
Aah damn, she’s just way too beautiful, honestly.
“Very well. As soon as I’m ready I’ll come back to this room to pick you up. Then, once you’re ready as well, let us head to the party hall together, Lady Lizbeth.”
“Yes!”
With Lizbeth’s nod, I quickly made my way back to my own room, and grabbed a couple maids on the way to help me get ready quickly.
I may be a guy, and don’t need to spend too much time getting ready. But, as long as I’m heading to party with Lizbeth by my side, I need to look the part to make sure that I don’t bring her shame either.
And so, I changed into a set of clothes that was matching to both my silver hair and Lizbeth’s black hair.
Yeah, this should be good now.

I left my room, and went back to Lizbeth’s room and knocked on the door.
“Your highness, we’ll be done soon enough so please wait just a little bit more.”
“Got it.”
I listened to Maya’s words, and waited another 10 minutes outside her room.
“Apologies for the wait. Please, come inside.”
I entered the room, to meet Lizbeth and…………
“Prince Rudolf……..”
Beholden to the otherworldly beauty of my fiancée, I was completely lost for words.
Lizbeth was dressed in a gorgeous amber coloured attire, and her silky smooth black hair had been arranged in a half tied up hairstyle.
And also……..in her left hand’s ring finger, she wore the pale blue gem ring that I gifted her for her birthday.
“H-how do I look……..?”
………………………………wha! N-now’s not the time to stand here, completely charmed and smitten.
I’ll end up making Lizbeth feel even more anxious if anything!
“Of course, you look utterly beautiful. Even a real goddess would run away at the mere sight of you.”
“ah………fufu, thank you very much.”
Hearing my words, Lizbeth blushed and smiled.
Uwaah……..this is bad, I can’t seem to take my eyes off her at all.
Seriously, the fact this gorgeous girl was my fiancée, was far beyond even a miracle………
“My Prince, then let us be on our way, shall we?”

Oh man. I just fell in love with her all over again.
But, this being the second time, even Lizbeth realized my true feelings so she knowingly seemed happy at my befuddled reactions.
Finally, I took Lizbeth’s hand, and then we headed to the party hall to meet Queen Alicia and Fredrik.
